Hi WeRoaders! I’m a third-culture kid with a mix of backgrounds and experiences. I’m originally from Kalmykia, a Mongolian republic in Russia. My mum is Kalmyk, my dad is Korean, and I’ve been living in the UK since 2007. I’m currently based in Bristol, where I work as a leading lab tech in research at Bristol uni. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me dancing bachata or salsa, getting lost in a non-fiction book, or diving into anything related to psychology and human behaviour. I’m also always up for trying something new! I love slow travel and prefer immersing myself in the local culture, really getting to know a place at its own pace rather than rushing through it. One of my favourite parts of travelling is learning a few local words and phrases wherever I go - I’ve found it’s one of the best ways to connect with people and experience a place more authentically.
