Ciao WeRoaders! I’m Catrin. In 2022, I traded the US for Italy to build a balanced home base in a place I love, while keeping my passion for exploring new places front & center. By day, I’m a creative podcast marketer who helps shows grow (I even host my own podcast - Italian, For Sure - diving into the cultural differences between the US & Italy). When I'm not strategizing or recording, I'm out seeing what the world has to offer.
To give you an idea of my travel style: I once spent a whole year living and traveling in a 196 sq ft THOW across the US & Canada. Because of that, I am incredibly adaptable. I love all sides of travel. I’m just as happy roughing it in a tent or sharing a hostel vibe as I am relaxing in a nice boutique hotel. My perfect trip is a mix of active hiking days & lazy beach afternoons.
You won't see me jumping out of planes or bungee jumping, but I live for the adventure of the unknown. While I’ll happily check a major icon like the Eiffel Tower off my list, I usually prefer skipping the crowded tourist traps. I want to find the local spots where people aren’t used to seeing foreigners & where Google Translate is our best friend.
Oh, and we can't talk about travel without talking about food! I'm grateful to have zero food allergies and make it a personal mission to eat my way through local cuisines wherever I go - just no cilantro please. I can't wait to lead our group, share some epic meals, and discover the world's best-kept secrets with you!
