Adventure has somehow become the main theme, despite several attempts at having a 'normal life.'
The journey so far has included coaching outdoor sports, leading young people through muddy fields, managing winter resort operations, surviving ski seasons, living in surf communities, and often being the person jumping in when things go south.
Experience includes paddle-sports, sailing, archery, snorkelling, rifle shooting, climbing and Duke of Edinburgh expedition support — in a nutshell - lot of gnarley weather, risk assessments, wet gear, group briefings, misplaced kit and teenagers asking if they’re “nearly there yet” after roughly 1km into a 22km hike.
Alongside the outdoor world, hotel and resort management added another useful skill set: keeping people happy, solving strange problems quickly, staying calm under pressure, and pretending that chaos was absolutely part of the plan.
There is a real love for travel, challenge, storytelling and the kind of shared experiences that make people laugh, panic slightly, bond quickly and return home with stories they will almost definitely exaggerate.
Currently also writing a children’s adventure series inspired by travel, courage, discovery, and the recurring habit of getting slightly lost but finding something interesting anyway.
The general approach: chill, energy bursts, mischievous when appropriate, and always focused on helping people feel included, capable and ready for whatever strange adventure comes next.
