Let's explore the north of Fuerteventura then jump straight to Lanzarote!

We kick off the day exploring two gems in the north of Fuerteventura. Our first stop is Popcorn Beach, the quirky, Instagram-favourite shoreline where white coral pebbles really do resemble popcorn — so cameras at the ready. Next, we head to El Cotillo, a charming fishing village famed for its fresh seafood, relaxed atmosphere, and inviting beaches. Whether you’re diving into the Atlantic, soaking up the sun, or catching your first wave, this is island life at its best.

Lunch comes with sweeping ocean views — the perfect backdrop for good food and even better company. After a leisurely afternoon, we return to Corralejo and make our way to the port. It’s time to board the ferry and set sail for Lanzarote, the wildest of the Canary Islands.

Once we arrive, we settle into our apartments in Puerto del Carmen, freshen up, and head out for an evening of tapas, seafood, and laughter — the perfect start to our next chapter in the Canaries.

The wild soul of Lanzarote, where lava flows touch the ocean

Welcome to Lanzarote, the wildest and most otherworldly of the Canaries. After a solid breakfast (fuel up—you're going to need it), we’re off to explore Timanfaya National Park, the island’s legendary volcanic reserve. Here, the ground still hisses with heat, and you'll see firsthand just how alive this island really is, geologically speaking.

Next, we’re heading up—literally. A short, scenic trek takes us to the Caldera Blanca, a now dormant volcanic crater that offers one of the best views on the island. It’s an easy climb, but the reward is huge: panoramic ocean views in every direction and the surreal sensation of standing in the heart of a volcano. It’s Lanzarote like you’ve never seen it—raw, wild, and unforgettable.

Volcanic wines & natural wonders

After soaking up the sweeping views from Caldera Blanca, we pause for a quick lunch before heading to La Geria, Lanzarote’s most celebrated wine region. Here, vines grow directly in volcanic soil — a unique terroir that gives these wines their distinctive character. We’ll taste a selection of local vintages and discover how lava-grown grapes have become one of the island’s most surprising treasures.

In the afternoon, we embrace Lanzarote’s wilder side with a refreshing dip in the natural pools of Los Charcones — crystal-clear, untouched, and a perfect expression of the island’s raw beauty.

As evening falls, we return to Puerto del Carmen to freshen up before heading out along the seafront. With lively bars, welcoming restaurants, and boutique shops lining the promenade, it’s the ideal setting to toast another unforgettable day on the island.

Off-the-Grid paradise on La Graciosa

We fuel up with a hearty breakfast — you’ll need the energy today. Backpacks packed, we hit the road and head north to Órzola, where a short ferry ride takes us to a hidden gem just off the coast: La Graciosa.

Tiny, wild, and beautifully untouched, this island — whose name fittingly means “the graceful one” — is pure paradise. We’ll explore it by 4x4, tracing rugged tracks through volcanic landscapes and stopping at secluded coves where the water is impossibly turquoise.

The vibe today is simple: swimsuit, comfortable shoes, and an open spirit. With no fixed plans, it’s all about exploring at your own pace, diving into hidden bays, and soaking up the feeling of total freedom. This is off-the-grid island life — WeRoad style.

The underground lava tubes of Lanzarote!

After a delicious seafood lunch back in Órzola, we trade sun-drenched beaches for the hidden world beneath the island’s surface. Our next stop: Cueva de los Verdes, one of Lanzarote’s most extraordinary natural wonders.

Formed thousands of years ago by lava flows from the eruption of Monte Corona, this vast network of tunnels offers a glimpse into the island’s fiery past. As we venture deeper inside, we’ll follow winding passages lined with glistening stalactites and stalagmites, discover crystal-clear subterranean lakes that reflect like mirrors, and experience an otherworldly landscape shaped entirely by nature..

Back to Fuerteventura — coastlines & chill

We start the day in Playa del Carmen, check out, and hit the road one final time in Lanzarote, heading south to Playa Blanca to catch the ferry back to Fuerteventura. Once we arrive, it’s all about slowing down and embracing island life at its most relaxed.

The afternoon is dedicated to the wild beauty of the Costa Calma coastline, where golden sands and rolling waves set the scene for a perfect beach day. We’ll explore some of the island’s most breathtaking shores — from the dramatic expanse of Playa Escalera to the untamed beauty of Playa Cofete and the windswept stretch of Playa Sotavento. Swimsuit, sunscreen, and a laid-back spirit are all you need.

As the day winds down, we’ll toast the sunset with an ice-cold beer, watching the sky turn shades of gold and rose. Then it’s back to Corralejo, where music, bars, and a final dose of Canarian nightlife await.

After a day of relaxation, let's learn to surf!

Ever dreamed of riding the waves of the Atlantic, surfboard beneath your feet and the ocean breeze in your hair? Today, that dream becomes reality as we dive into one of Fuerteventura’s most iconic experiences: surfing.

Guided by expert Italian instructors from a long-established surf school in Corralejo, we’ll start with the essentials — from paddling techniques to standing up and catching your very first wave. The two-hour lesson, included in your trip package, comes with all the gear you need. No pressure, just plenty of fun (and maybe a few wipeouts along the way).

After working up an appetite, we’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch overlooking the ocean before heading to Playa del Moro, a stunning beach framed by the sweeping golden dunes of Corralejo — a landscape that feels more like the Sahara than the Atlantic.

If the wind picks up on the east coast, we’ll embrace the spirit of the road trip and head west instead, where the natural pools of Aguas Verdes offer a tranquil, off-the-beaten-path alternative. Today is all about chasing the best conditions, the best views, and the best vibes.

Included: Car rental and Surf lesson including board rental, wetsuit, and surf instructors.

Sailing into paradise

We bring our epic week to a close in the best possible way — surrounded by the ocean. Today, we set sail on a catamaran adventure to Los Lobos, a protected natural reserve rich in biodiversity. Fun fact: the island takes its name from the sea lions (lobos marinos) that once lived along its shores.

As we glide across crystal-clear waters, we’ll stop to swim in secluded coves, bask in the sunshine, and enjoy the soundtrack of good music, great company, and a drink in hand. Keep watch for marine life and seabirds — encounters with nature here are part of the magic.

After a sun-soaked day at sea, we return to Corralejo for a quick refresh before heading out for one final night together. It’s the perfect way to toast an unforgettable journey — and to say hasta pronto to the Canary Islands, for now.

Check-out and goodbyes

All good things must come to an end — and today, it’s time to say hasta luego to our island adventure. We leave with golden sand still clinging to our shoes, the spirit of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote tucked in our hearts, and maybe even a sprinkle of beach dust in our bags (and swimsuits).

It’s hard not to get a little misty-eyed as we say goodbye, but every ending is just the beginning of the next journey. Until we meet again — here’s to more unforgettable adventures with WeRoad.
