In a splendid blend of Islamic and Christian architecture, Seville and Cordoba are two of the most beautiful cities in all of Spain. Tree-lined avenues will lead us to the marvelous Plaza de España , which, with its majolica tiles and bridges over the water, will convince us that it is one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The historic center is dominated by the majestic Cathedral , dominated by the Giralda , the tower we can climb to admire Seville from above. A few meters away is the royal palace: the Alcázar ! Among patios, orange trees, and Moorish halls, we will impersonate the ancient kings who lived here. But if we say "Spain," we also say "bulls"! And so we cannot miss a visit to the Plaza de Toros , the oldest and most prestigious bullring in all of Spain, where the bullfight is held. A stop beyond the Guadalquivir River, and we will find ourselves in the kingdom of ceramics: Triana !
About an hour by train from Seville, we'll reach nearby Córdoba . The red and white arches of the magnificent Mezquita are worth the trip, but since we're still not satisfied, we'll also visit the city's Alcázar and the Caliph's baths . We'll wander the flower-filled streets of the center, and then return to Seville, where we can also attend a live flamenco lesson! Will it be time to end the trip? Unfortunately, yes, but in style! The splendid Metropol Parasol will be the location of our last evening of tapas, sangria, and tinto de verano ! Hasta luego, Andalucía!
