This wasn’t a leap in the dark. The US was already part of our story: we’ve crossed it on dozens of itineraries, bringing thousands of travellers along Route 66, through the Grand Canyon, to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Monument Valley.
We know the American market as a destination. Now we’re starting to know it as home.
From Europe with love
WeRoad was born in 2017 from a simple idea: turning group trips into opportunities to make real friends. No fifty-seat coaches, no little flags, no scripts. Small groups – between 8 and 15 people – of strangers led by a Group Leader who genuinely knows the place. Here’s how it works.
And why does it work? Because the way you travel changes everything. The difference between looking at the Grand Canyon from a signposted viewpoint and arriving there after three days with people you’ve come to know, that’s the same difference as seeing a photo versus actually living it. That’s WeRoad. It’s the trip where you make a friend on day two and by day four you’re already looking for the next destination to do together.
Word of mouth is our best marketer
In Europe, it worked. Around 60% of our travellers book again. A third of first-timers find us through word of mouth, not ads, not influencers: just someone who went on a trip and couldn’t stop talking about it. Those numbers say one thing: when an experience is real, it spreads on its own.
