Itinerary - Gran Canaria Express: The Island of the Sun

Transfers to your destination are not included in the package, so you can decide which city to leave from, at what time and from which airport you prefer. This is to give you maximum freedom of choice.

We will meet at the facility (logistical details will be communicated to you later on the WhatsApp group): from here begins our journey to discover the beauties of this island.

We start our way: Aperitif and welcome dinner to kick off our trip in the best possible way!

Good morning WeRoaders, it's the first awakening on this magical island and we couldn't help but inaugurate it immediately with one of the "must-sees": the dunes of Maspalomas!

After a great Spanish breakfast (and lots of coffee, I promise!) we will drive directly to the dunes of Maspalomas, where we can get lost in the meanders of this yellow and immense sand that will make us feel like we are in the middle of the African desert. We will cross the dunes on camelback, or on foot, and we will admire the unique landscape of the south of Gran Canaria, with the support of our Sahawari guides. We will feel like desert explorers as we ride the seemingly endless dunes of Maspalomas.

Once the excursion to the dunes of Maspalomas is over, we will immediately go to discover the many beaches and hidden coves of the south of the island, where between a lunch of tapas and some sangria, we will experience the wildest soul of the island today.

Towards evening we will admire the first of the many breathtaking sunsets that we will see on the Isla bonita, but this evening we will see it from an even more fascinating angle, that is from a sailing boat, sipping a good glass of cava!

We have already “wasted” too much time and we are unstoppable, after our second Canarian awakening we could not help but immediately discover the best that the island has to offer us all in one breath… today however we will not do it by driving our super cars, but by enjoying a beautiful excursion aboard a luxury catamaran!

We will board our boat, with which we will discover and relax in great style admiring all the most beautiful coves and inlets, with a sea that will give you 'First reaction: Shock!'. In fact, we will sail along the southwest coast of Gran Canaria aboard a luxury catamaran, where we will have the opportunity to then take another private motorboat ride, some healthy and beautiful snorkeling or participate in one of the many water sports activities on offer.

On board we will then enjoy unlimited drinks and a good lunch, tasting traditional dishes of the island.

And after returning from the boat trip, we will be more than charged and ready to discover another beautiful bay in the south of Gran Canaria: Playa de Amadores, which will be the backdrop for one of the most beautiful sunsets that can be admired on this island at this time of year. Let's face it, every sunset will be so special that we will be able to admire it every day with a different and even more exciting scenario.

We then start to warm up the pace with drinks and music, the island will now reveal its most sparkling side!

After these first three days it will seem like we have seen it all, but it is not today! And what is missing?! Today the northern part of the island awaits us, in fact we will leave for the capital, that is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where its charm in full nineteenth-century style will frame another unforgettable day!

More precisely we are heading to La Playa de Las Canteras, where we will visit Gran Canaria from another point of view and that is… by diving (with a team of expert divers) and therefore a first dive within everyone's reach - the seabeds of the north of the island are amazing and simply exciting, so why not do this experience all together? :) whether it's your first time or not, it will be a beautiful experience that we can all share together!

After this morning spent exploring the depths of Las Canteras, we will head towards the historic centre of Las Palmas. Here we will discover all the highlights of the capital of Gran Canaria in an entertaining way: We will visit the cathedral and the House of Columbus, we will relax and stroll through the picturesque streets and shaded squares, immersed in the lively bustle of the market. Almost by chance, we will meet poets and musicians who have become famous far beyond the Canary Islands, in Spain and around the world. In addition, if we are attentive and pay attention to even the smallest details, we will discover, for example, why the small Canarian banana is so special and what Christopher Columbus actually did here.

To conclude this day full of emotions and new experiences, how about a nice tasting of local wines before heading back south and enjoying our last Canarian evening?

This morning we woke up with a more than deserved calm, we will have the opportunity to take another walk or a last dip depending on the times of the return flights.

It was a fantastic trip, maybe a little too fast, it's true,..but, this island is like that, you either love it or hate it, and in my opinion after this long weekend I'm sure that we will all love it madly and we can't wait to go back!
