The trip in a nutshell
This is a trip designed and created entirely by an expert WeRoad Coordinator. The Coordinator takes care of the entire trip: from defining the itinerary to selecting accommodations and on-site experiences. Through WeRoad you can book the trip and manage it in your personal area, like any other WeRoad.
With this trip to Scotland created by our coordinator who lives in Edinburgh we will discover the best that Edinburgh and Scotland have to offer. Edinburgh is considered one of the most fascinating cities in the world and we will discover its main attractions, such as the medieval old town and the new town dating back to 1800, both a jewel of urban architecture and UNESCO world heritage . But we will also explore the less touristy corners, such as the Meadows and the village of Stockbridge , frequenting the most characteristic pubs and getting lost in the many vintage shops so loved by the Scots. But not only that, we will leave Edinburgh to get lost in the fairytale landscapes of the Highlands , among lochs (lakes), bens (mountains) and valleys populated by sheep and small long-haired cows . Here we can use our cars to search for the most panoramic roads or try some short treks through surreal landscapes. A thought for the weather: in Scotland it is unpredictable, but it rains much less than you tend to imagine and rarely for more than half an hour. In winter the days are short, but Scotland is still beautiful; the coordinator will organize the days to maximize the hours of daylight. And if you are lucky you might even see the Northern Lights!
