I started prioritizing travel after the COVID lock down when I realized things truly can change at the drop of a hat. Since then, I have been to 6/7 continents and have found something to love about all of them. Eventually I would love to get to Antarctica, but not until tourism stops causing so much damage to the local environment. I prioritize my travels in a way that is mindful of local customs while contributing to the local economy and abiding by sustainability practices whenever possible. I have been on and off learning Spanish for years now but 2026 is the year I have committed to maximizing my efforts in hopes to connect more deeply with the people and places I will visit in the near future as well as my local community. Museums and grocery stores are 2 of my favorite side quest stops. I somehow always find myself with an animal or 3 in my arms at the most unexpected times. My most collected souvenirs are tattoos as I build up the patchwork sleeve on my left arm, but hand crafted home decor is a close second. While I'm not the best in the kitchen, you can typically find me in at least 1 cooking class abroad as well, learning about new ingredients and making dishes the local grandma's serve.
