In Oman, wadis such as Wadi Shab are known for clear pools and short hikes.
In the interior, Wahiba Sands offers a very different landscape, with rolling dunes and a chance to experience the desert after sunset.

A shorter route focused on Muscat, Nizwa, and the desert gives a solid overview, often including a night camping in Wahiba Sands.
The best time for visiting is usually from October to April, with November to February especially popular for a group tour.
