Hi WeRoaders, It’s Sonia here! I am an Italian-British architect, originally from Bari, Italy, with an Apulian soul, based in UK, living in Manchester. Alongside architecture, photography and art, I’ve always loved travelling, trying new food, learning new languages and exploring new places. I am a natural relationship builder, I am a people’s person, I love connecting with new cultures and making friends wherever I go. The best memories I made date back to when I spent my exchange program at 17 years old with my Japanese host family in a tiny little village in the south of Japan, in Kyushu region. Trust me, it was a real challenge communicating in Japanese with dictionary, when google translate didn’t exist! 😂 it was an amazing experience, which helped me get out of my comfort zone and build life-long relationships. I also lived for a while in Australia, fell in love with koalas and took my diving license. I volunteered in the Philippines and in Indonesia as well, learnt tagalog, and helped building local infrastructures. Absolutely breathtaking landscapes and lovely people, who I will always keep in my heart. I’ve also started learning Arabic in the last two years, since I travelled to Palestine in 2017, then Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE. It was love at first sight with Arabic culture. As you might have guessed, I’m always on the move…Can’t wait to create unforgettable memories and share incredible experiences together super soon! Let’s hit the road ☀️🎉
