Itinerary

This extended long weekend is all about unwinding on the beach—spending your days and evenings sailing on a boat or catamaran, indulging in delicious Spanish cuisine, endless tapas, and most importantly, enjoying great company. And who knows, maybe even a bit of partying along the way!

This itinerary is designed to help you discover—and fall in love with—a dream destination. The largest of the Canary Islands has so much to offer. We’ll be exploring it from south to north, chasing unforgettable views, breathtaking sunsets, and unforgettable new experiences.

Transfers to the destination aren’t included in the package, so you can decide which city to leave from, at what time, and from which airport you prefer. This gives you total freedom to choose. Once you land in Gran Canaria, you’ll immediately feel the island’s energy: palm trees, golden light, and that ocean breeze that only means one thing — vacation. After arrival and check-in at our accommodation, you’ll have some free time to relax and get settled (logistics details will be shared in the WhatsApp group).

Later in the afternoon, we’ll meet up for our welcome drink: fresh drinks, sea views, toes in the sand, and the first chats with the group. The evening continues with dinner at a local restaurant and, for those interested, a chance to explore the lively nightlife of Playa del Inglés — vibrant spots and music that already scream summer.

Good morning WeRoaders! It’s our first morning on this magical island, and there’s no better way to start than with one of the “must-sees”: the Maspalomas dunes! But first… let’s kick off the day with a rush of real adrenaline: a group surf lesson on the Atlantic waves. Whether it’s your first time or not, you’ll have a blast! Not feeling it? You can chill on Maspalomas beach or take a memorable camel ride through the dunes — like a mini Sahara just steps from the sea. After a well-deserved, relaxed lunch break, we’ll head to Anfi del Mar, a tropical bay perfect for beach volleyball, diving, and unwinding.

The grand finale? Sunset at Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria’s “little Venice.” Rocks, colorful skies, cold beers, and postcard vibes. The night continues at a modern market with international street food, games, karaoke, and a festive atmosphere.

Today we step away from the tourist beaches to explore Gran Canaria’s most authentic soul: the North. The day starts by the ocean in one of the north’s hidden bays: snorkeling or diving in turquoise waters, among volcanic rocks and colorful fish, either at Tufia — a wild, intimate cove — or the livelier Playa de Las Canteras, perfect for a safe dip and some relaxation. After a morning in the water, enjoy an easy lunch with sandwiches and fruit under the umbrella or at one of the beach kiosks. But the real highlight comes in the afternoon: we head inland for a sensory experience among vineyards and tradition. Stroll through sun-drenched rows and historic wineries where we’ll taste local wines paired with Canarian cheeses, olives, and rustic specialties. A perfect way to discover the island’s genuine agricultural side.

The journey continues in Las Palmas, a vibrant capital full of contrasts: history, art, and culture blend through colonial alleys, cathedrals, hidden squares, and sea-facing boulevards. Happy hour with a view, dinner of tapas or traditional dishes, and for those with energy left — a walk through Vegueta by night, where handcrafted cocktails and live music offer the true Canarian nightlife. A full, rich, surprising day — between ocean, land, and city.

Today is our last full day (unfortunately!), and it’s time to live the sea to the fullest,  but there’s more: in the morning, we set sail on a catamaran trip along the south coast, with an open bar, music, sunshine, and swims in crystal-clear waters. On board, a simple but tasty lunch, plus moments of relaxation or fun with water games. Once back on land, we unwind at the stunning Playa de Amadores, a calm bay perfect for a slow afternoon of sunbeds, cocktails, and soaking up the sun — maybe the island’s most beautiful beach! In the late afternoon, for those seeking unforgettable experiences, we head up to Pico de Las Nieves: an easy sunset hike or simply a viewpoint to enjoy the colorful sky and, weather permitting, a magical stargazing aperitif.

Alternatively, for some adrenaline, choose a buggy or e-bike tour through the island’s mountains. The evening closes with our farewell dinner, full of stories, toasts, and last shared moments under the Canarian sky.

Last goodbyes, one last look at the ocean, and then we head off. This morning we take it easy — a few more steps by the sea or one last swim.

We’ll carry the sand in our shoes, a smile on our face, and one certainty: Gran Canaria has stolen a piece of your heart. Until the next WeRoad — we’ll see each other again for many new adventures, maybe sooner than you think!
