Itinerary
Traveling in India means coming to terms with oneself: no other country in the world presents us with so many differences—cultural, social, economic, and spiritual. This trip to India is a road trip through the northern region of Rajasthan, discovering rock-hewn fortresses, ancient temples, and vibrant cities. We are in the land of the maharajas, a vast territory rich in ancient legends and time-honored traditions: we will travel from New Delhi to the blue city of Jodhpur, from the tranquility of Pushkar Lake to the bustling chaos of Delhi's markets, from the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal to the Amber Fort in Jaipur.
We begin in New Delhi, the bustling and ever-lively capital, which will give us a powerful first glimpse into Indian culture. We'll barely have time to adjust to the traffic and honking horns before we're heading towards a place of calm and peace: the enchanting Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the modern world, the treasure of Agra, which will leave us awestruck and breathless—especially if we manage to admire its splendor at dawn, which everyone agrees is the most magical time to witness this spectacle. Here we'll understand the extent to which India is a land of enormous contrasts between wealth and poverty: we began our journey in the chaos of New Delhi's streets, and today we stroll in the shadow of a white marble colossus. However, our journey through northern India doesn't end here: we'll then continue on to Jaipur, the Pink City, with its sandstone facades and the palaces of the maharajas; Afterwards, we'll head to Pushkar, with its lake, ghats, and one of the very few temples in the world dedicated to the god Brahma; and finally, there's Jodhpur, where we'll visit mausoleums and fortresses. It will be a trip that confronts us with a reality far removed from our daily lives, and precisely for that reason, it will leave us profoundly transformed. India, on the other hand, is like that: it gets inside you and never leaves.

Welcome to India!
Welcome to India!
Check-in: We're starting in New Delhi
Round-trip flights to/from your destination are not included in the package, so you can decide your departure location, time, and airline. All this to give you maximum freedom!
Check-in at the hotel in New Delhi and welcome meeting – here's how the meeting works! The initial shock might be intense, between the humid heat and the city's chaotic traffic… but at least we'll have our first taste of India as we get to know each other! Let's also try some Indian cuisine! Let's keep it mild with the spices for now, perhaps sticking to rice and curry… which will be a delicious start!
The journey begins: we explore Old Delhi and make our way to Agra
We immerse ourselves in the real India
The alarm goes off early: we wake up with our batteries charged to face our first full day in India.
We'll explore the old city of Shah Jahanabad by rickshaw: starting at the Jama Masjid mosque, passing the Red Fort, and admiring a Sikh temple. And who knows, maybe we'll even have time to stop for lunch right there! It will be the perfect opportunity to experience Indian cuisine in its most authentic form, but be careful not to eat too much! Soon it will be time to hit the road again for Agra, the last stop of this first day.

The Taj Mahal and the road to Jaipur
A dream come true: The Taj Mahal at sunrise.
It's still dark outside, but we're ready: We're standing before one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the majestic Taj Mahal , the true treasure of Agra. To visit it at this early hour, as the sun rises on the horizon and a light mist drifts across the white marble – a moment we won't soon forget. Let's savor these moments and breathe in the magic of this place of timeless beauty.
Back at our accommodation, we first recover from the early wake-up call (and all the emotions!). Afterwards, we visit Agra Fort, the city's other major must-see: intricate architecture, breathtaking panoramic views, rooms filled with frescoes, gardens with golden pavilions, and the occasional friendly monkey. Before lunch, however, we have to hit the road again: the drive to Jaipur is long, but with the right playlist, the journey becomes a pleasure!

The Pink City of Jaipur
Discover Jaipur
A day dedicated entirely to Jaipur, the "Pink City" and capital of Rajasthan. The facades of the buildings glow in pink sandstone – hence the name – and the city is encircled by an impressive wall with seven gates. Our first highlight: the Amber Fort. Once at the top, we explore the fantastic complex of courtyards and halls. Of course, the Hawa Mahal, a spectacular palace that looks almost like a beehive, is also a must-see. We also visit the Rajput-style City Palace and the impressive Albert Hall.
After a hearty snack (we walked quite a lot without even realizing it!), we continue on to Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century astronomical observatory. It will be truly fascinating to see the instruments they had back then! Afterwards, we stroll through the market, hunting for spices and fine fabrics. Time for a bit of haggling to snag the best treasures! Tonight, a special dinner awaits us: traditional Indian dishes, of course, with a fascinating cooking show in the home of a local family, who will guide us through the preparation of traditional dishes, revealing the aromas and techniques that make each dish unique. We can't wait!
On the way to Pushkar
A long journey
The alarm goes off early this morning: we rise early and embark on another transfer to Pushkar, in the heart of Rajasthan. This small town is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and has a unique vibe. As we stroll through the streets, we hear the steady rhythm of prayers and sacred chants – and don't worry, it's not just our ears that are treated; it's a feast for the eyes as well. We mingle with the Hindu pilgrims walking along the lake and descending the steps of the numerous ghats to immerse themselves in the holy water. We observe this spiritual moment with deep respect – an experience that won't soon be forgotten.
A special sunset
We also explore the bazaar – and learn the art of haggling in no time! The perfect moment to snag some local handicrafts – fabrics, incense, perfumes... but don't overdo it with the shopping, we're only halfway through the trip!
The day continues and we have one last mission ahead of us: the climb to the Savitri Temple! The sunset from up there is simply incredible – and we're ready to enjoy it to the fullest!
Pushkar and Jodhpur
Free time and then on we go!
This morning you can skip the alarm. We have time to soak up the atmosphere of Pushkar at our own pace. Shopping, a relaxing massage, or a yoga class – the choice is yours! Afterward, we'll say goodbye to Pushkar and head to Jodhpur, our next and final stop. The minivan ride will be a bit longer, but hey, it's the last transfer of our trip. Don't forget to pack some snacks – they'll definitely come in handy. We'll arrive in Jodhpur in the late afternoon, just in time to admire the city's illuminated buildings.
Cooking class and discovering Jodhpur
Fortresses, white marble and blue houses
After breakfast, we set out to explore the city: we are surrounded by enormous fortifications and indigo buildings that make this place seem almost surreal. We visit Jaswant Thada, the white marble mausoleum reminiscent of the Taj Mahal; here, too, peace and tranquility reign among the gardens, the small lake, and the sculptures representing the governors of Jodhpur, who now rest here in marble tombs.
Then we went up to Mehrangarh , the fort that stands majestically above the city: it's one of India's most unique buildings, seemingly rising directly from the rock. Its decorations are incomparable, still intact despite the passage of time. Afterwards, we returned to the city and found a place to eat!
Feeling spicy?
After a week in India, it's perfectly normal to miss home—and pizza. There'll be plenty of time for that later, but not today: This afternoon it's all about local cooking! Chapati will soon be no mystery to us, and we'll learn to distinguish each spice in the famous masala... chili included, of course! But this time, we decide how spicy it is. So give it your all, because tonight's dinner depends entirely on our cooking skills!
Jodhpur and back to Delhi
Free time and our last dinner together
This morning there's no time to waste! Off to the airport, back to Delhi – where it all began! Once in Delhi, we'll have plenty of time to explore the city and pick up a souvenir or two. We can enjoy a leisurely lunch or indulge in the street food scene until we're completely stuffed. We'll bring our journey full circle – and sadly, our trip as well – with one last dinner together. Time to reminisce about the experiences of the past few days over a final Indian meal!
Goodbye, India!
