Itinerary
Maldives Beach Life is a week of island-hopping in the Indian Ocean, in locally run guesthouses steps from the sea. We swim with nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, manta rays and whale sharks, and watch for dolphins from the boat. In between come picnics on sandbanks, water sports off Maafushi, a scuba dive, a resort day with hammocks and an open bar. Five islands in all, the authentic Gulhi and Fulidhoo included, plus the white-sand beaches around them. Wild, authentic, accessible: the Maldives with wind on your face, sunsets shared in silence and quiet moments rocked by the ocean.

Arrival in Malé and first night in Maafushi
Beach dinner under the stars
We land at Malé Airport and transfer to our island, and the tropical rhythm takes over before we unpack.
- Check-in at our guesthouse in Maafushi, time to get to know each other, explore the island and meet the local culture hosting us this week.
- Dinner on the beach under the stars, toes in the sand.

Coral garden, sea turtles and Maafushi watersports
Dolphin watch and sandbank break
First full day, and it happens entirely in the water: we are out on the boat before the sun gets serious.
- Snorkelling in the coral garden among colourful fish and coral formations, then a second reef where sea turtles graze on seagrass.
- While sailing we scan for dolphins in the waves; the morning ends on a sandbank or picnic island, depending on the tide.
Parasailing, jet ski or kayak
- Early afternoon in Maafushi: parasailing and jet skiing for thrill-seekers, SUP or kayaking for a slower pace, then time to wind down.

Nurse sharks, stingrays and Fulidhoo Island
Sandbank stop and dolphin lagoon
Today the sea gets bolder, and for a few minutes it feels like stepping straight into a nature documentary.
- We swim with the curious nurse sharks and meet stingrays in shallow, crystal-clear water, where they come right to the shore.
- A break on a pristine sandbank, white and remote, then Fulidhoo Island and the everyday life of the Maldivians.
- On the way back, the dolphin lagoon: with luck, we swim with them too.

Resort day with open bar and reef
Hammocks, cocktails and buffet lunch
After two days of adrenaline we downshift completely, for a day of palm trees, white sand and tropical comforts.
- An ocean-view hammock, cocktails at the open bar, snorkelling along the island's coral reef.
- Lunch is a rich international buffet, plus two sweet and savoury snacks.

Relaxed morning on Gulhi, afternoon underwater
First tank dive with local instructors
After the resort day we swap comfort for a lived-in island, and by the afternoon the group splits in two.
- Morning on Gulhi: refreshing swims, peaceful walks along the beach, photos against the tropical backdrop.
- After lunch, a Discover Scuba Diving session: first dive with a tank, guided by local instructors, or a fun dive for certified divers.
- Staying on the surface? A nearby island to visit, or simply the beach.

Ari Atoll whale sharks and manta rays
Dawn departure for the gentle giant
Alarm before sunrise, and nobody complains: we set sail at dawn for a sea adventure that comes in two parts.
- Whale shark spotting in the Ari Atoll: we slip into crystal-clear water and swim alongside the gentle giant, without crowding its space.
- Then a lagoon where manta rays glide past, in formation or solo.
- Late afternoon, back in Maafushi with memories of the new friends we made in the sea.

Nearby island, resort or one last reef
Strolling among the palm trees
Last day in the Maldives, and we keep it as a group: the only question left is where.
- Weather and logistics decide: a nearby island for palm trees and beach, or a resort for more hours of luxury.
- Or a new coral reef, for one last dive together among the ocean's vibrant colours.
- However it goes, we close the trip as we opened it: smiles and the spirit of discovery.

Last morning on Maafushi, Maldives
Until the next adventure
The week ends where it began, and there is nothing left to do but say it properly.
- We check out and say goodbye.
