Itinerary

This Warsaw weekend lands us in the New York of the East, where history and modernity intertwine. A guided walking tour opens the Old Town: cobblestone streets, the Royal Castle, the lively Market Square, grand palaces bearing witness to Warsaw's resilience and timeless charm. Modern Warsaw adds sparkling skyscrapers and green parks, and pierogi win everyone over at the first bite. Then the best distilleries, the secrets of this legendary elixir, flavored vodkas found nowhere else, and an intimate bar where we unwind like true Varsovians. Na zdrowie!

Check-in and first Żubrówka toast

Transfers to and from Warsaw aren't included in the package, so you can decide where to start from, at what time, and with the transport you prefer based on your departure point (plane, train, bus, car). This is to give you maximum freedom of choice. Don't hesitate to contact your assigned group leader for more travel info or tips! Check-in at your hotel in Warsaw at 5 PM.

Our adventure kicks off by diving into the history and culture of this fascinating Polish city, and the first stop is, naturally, the dinner table.

  • To get into the local vibe straight away we head for dinner at a traditional karczma, a Polish tavern, before anyone has properly unpacked a bag.
  • On the table the iconic pierogi, symbol of Polish cuisine, paired with a glass of Żubrówka, the famous bison grass-infused vodka, and the weekend's first toast.

Baroque halls and Royal Castle legends

After last night's warm-up, Warsaw gets a full day: one palace, one old town, a lot of pavement. Comfortable shoes!

  • The day opens at Wilanów Palace, one of Warsaw's Baroque gems, between stunning gardens and lavish halls, then lunch at a spot we'll choose together.
  • A guided walking tour follows through the historic Old Town: clock tower, Royal Castle, Market Square, St. John's Cathedral, and the legends that bring the city to life.

Na zdrowie! Night in local bars

  • Warsaw's more "spirited" side: who invented vodka, how it's made, how Poles toast. In Poland it even has its own museum, and the history comes with plenty of tastings.
  • Then the most authentic local spots, between toasts and laughs: traditional vodkas and artisanal gems, Żubrówka with a pickled cucumber, Wyborowa, every Pole's pride. A social tradition, not just a drink.

Palace on the Isle and ruin pub

Last day, and Warsaw changes register once more: first its hardest chapter, then its quietest green. These 48 hours have been epic, and the next WeRoad trip already feels close!

  • We start at the Museum of the Uprising, diving into the city's brave resistance during WWII through immersive exhibits that leave the whole group quiet.
  • Then the stunning Łazienki Park: gardens, serene lakes, the iconic Palace on the Isle, and goodbyes at a ruin pub with a crisp, cold beer (or two!).
