Summer Release 2026: traveling with WeRoad gets even simpler
Over the past few months, WeRoad’s work has centered on one clear goal: closing the distance between the desire to travel and the decision to actually go. The focus hasn’t been on new destinations or new places to announce, but on the journey itself: on how you choose it, how you book it, and how you get there.
With the Summer Release 2026, we’re bringing together everything we’ve built around this goal: features designed to untangle the knots that used to make people hesitate, from the deposit due on a departure that isn’t confirmed yet, to organizing the flight on your own, to the effort of finding your way among dozens of different itineraries. Obstacles that, taken together, risked turning an “I’d love to” into a “maybe another time.”
Booking with greater peace of mind
€0 deposit on departures that aren’t confirmed yet. Found a date you like but the group isn’t full yet? Now you can secure your spot without paying anything up front. Choose the payment method you prefer (card, PayPal, or Revolut Pay), and the deposit is only charged the moment the departure becomes official. Nothing paid blindly in advance: just the certainty that the spot is yours, claimed while it was still available. The feature is available across all markets.
Flying together, worry-free
Once you’d chosen your trip, the flight was still left to organize on your own. We’ve worked to make it simple, and we’ve done it in two ways.
Flight information already during the browsing stage. Even before booking, you can see who has already purchased their flight and which airport they’re leaving from, so you can plan accordingly, board the same plane as the group, and arrive at your destination together. It’s a concrete answer to something you’ve told us often: the wish not to travel alone, because the adventure begins right at the airport.
Flight management right at checkout. While you’re booking your trip, if you’d like, you can request help with your flight and be guided through a dedicated path to find and book it, without ever leaving the WeRoad experience. One single path, from start to finish, with no jumping from one site to another. The service has launched in Italy and Germany and will gradually roll out to all other markets.
Finding the right trip, through conversation
AI-powered search. No more filters and drop-down menus: now you describe in your own words what you have in mind, a time frame, a budget, a mood, a craving, and WeRoad suggests the departures best suited to you. Conversational search is available where it’s most useful, from the home page to the search bar, and it keeps track of your suggestions and recent searches, so you can pick up right where you left off.
AI assistant on WhatsApp. For all the questions that come before departure, the assistant is available on WhatsApp in Italy, Germany, Spain, and France, backed by conversational support on the site. The goal is to give immediate answers right where people already are every day, with no waiting and no switching apps.
Comparing to decide
Trip comparison. When the choice is between several destinations and none of them will give way, you can now place up to three trips side by side and take in at a glance what sets them apart: duration, stops, difficulty level, what’s included. A way to dissolve that last bit of uncertainty and understand clearly which trip is right for you, without opening ten tabs and losing track.
