The trip in a nutshell

Albania in winter has a unique charm, blending ancient traditions with a vibrant modern spirit. This small Balkan gem, once off the radar, is now opening its doors to curious travelers in search of an authentic, off-the-beaten-path adventure.
Our journey begins in Tirana, a colorful capital where street art meets trendy cafés and the buzz of a city in transformation. Heading south, we dive into UNESCO World Heritage treasures: Berat, the “city of a thousand windows,” and Gjirokastër, famous for its hilltop fortress and picturesque Ottoman houses.
Along the way, every stop is an immersion into Albanian culture: medieval castles, fascinating museums, and archaeological sites that whisper centuries of history. The archaeological park of Butrint, mysterious and timeless, takes us straight back to Antiquity. For those seeking a shot of adrenaline, we’ll go rafting on the wild Vjosa River, Europe’s last great wild river, before slowing down with a well-deserved soak in the natural hot springs of Përmet.
We end our trip back in Tirana, carrying with us the memories of breathtaking landscapes, authentic Albanian flavors, and—above all—the warmth of a people proud of their traditions.
A winter journey through Albania is more than just a trip: it’s a deep dive into a wild and authentic land, where art, culture, and nature intertwine to create an unforgettable adventure.
