Explore the diverse landscapes and cultures of Eastern Canada in just 8 days! City vibes in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City, plus two natural wonders: Niagara Falls and the Thousand Islands Archipelago.

Our journey kicks off in Toronto, the bustling metropolis, then leads us to the picturesque Thousand Islands and to Canada's capital, Ottawa. Next comes the thrill of Bryson Rapids rafting on the Ottawa River, a perfect blend of natural beauty and adrenaline. We continue to the historic jewel of Quebec City and vibrant Montreal. Back in Toronto, we head to majestic Niagara Falls for a boat adventure, getting as close as possible to the breathtaking spectacle. Nature, city life, traditions and modernity: ready for the best Eastern Canada has to offer?

Check-in and first night in Toronto

Round trip flights are not included in the package, so you can choose from where and when you want to fly. This is to give you maximum freedom of choice!

Arrive and check into your hotel in Toronto, the starting point for our adventure!

  • Look up, then down: the iconic CN Tower rises above the city, while a surprising underground city stretches over 30 km below.

  • A first beer together? How about kicking off our journey with some local beer and a friendly chat to get acquainted?

Cheers to the start of an unforgettable experience!

Towards Ottawa

Good morning, WeRoaders! Our first mission is simple yet crucial for our journey's success: securing rental cars.

  • On the road to the Thousand Islands: mission accomplished, we cover the 280 km to the breathtaking Thousand Islands Archipelago. And the name is no exaggeration: there are 1,864 islands! This is North America, where everything, even national parks, is XL.

  • By boat among the islands: to make the most of this vast area, we join a boat excursion, the perfect way to uncover this paradise swiftly.

  • Dinner in Ottawa: our final stop of the day is Ottawa, where we treat ourselves to a well-deserved dinner.

Let's have some fun!

Today we need energy, so a nice (and healthy) breakfast is essential. Have you ever tried rafting? If you have, well done; if not, now is the time!

  • On the rapids of the Ottawa River: we head towards Bryson to tackle the rapids of the Ottawa River by rafting.

  • Lunch and barbecue dinner: besides rafting, lunch is included and, since we were there, a barbecue dinner too.

A day to explore!

This morning we still have time to explore Ottawa: there's no shortage of places to visit in Canada’s capital!

  • Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal: a must-see is Parliament Hill, home to the Peace Tower and the Centre Block. There are also museums on Canada's history and origins, and beautiful views along the Rideau Canal.

  • On to Quebec City: after a quick lunch, by midday we're heading to Quebec City.

  • Upper and lower town: the city is split into a higher and a lower part, connected by a funicular for a relaxed option or by the steep "Casse-Cou" staircase, literally "breakneck stairs". We won't test the name, but get ready for a climb!

  • More adventurous? If we're in the mood, we can instead explore Jacques Cartier National Park, in the Quebec region: hiking is the most popular activity, but canoeing, kayaking and rafting are great options too.

Heads-up for Quebec City: wear comfortable shoes!

Free morning and Jacques Cartier National Park

Good morning, WeRoaders! A slow start... or not? It depends on how we spend this free morning in the city: here, free time is too precious to waste.

  • Into Jacques Cartier National Park: after lunch we trade urban life for nature in the lush surroundings of Jacques Cartier National Park, a glacial valley in Quebec home to the river and lake of the same name, all framed by the majestic Jacques Cartier mountain massif.

  • Trekking, canoe or rafting? Trekking is the most popular activity, but canoeing, kayaking and rafting are great alternatives: it's up to us and when our adventurous spirit kicks in!

  • Nightlife or bed? Tonight we return to Québec City and, depending on how tired we are, we decide whether to enjoy the city's vibrant nightlife or head straight to bed.

Sweet Canadian traditions

Wake up, WeRoaders, it's time to go! After a final stroll through Québec City, we say goodbye and head to Montreal, about 3.5 hours away. But first, a must-visit lunch stop. What comes to mind when we say Canada? Here's a clue: something sweet!

  • Lunch at a sugar shack: at the classic Sucre Chez Dani sugar shack we learn how authentic maple syrup is made, then enjoy a typical lunch, all drenched in syrup.

  • Exploring Old Montreal: once we drop off our bags, we explore Montreal, a unique blend of a big U.S. metropolis and a traditional Quebecois town. Its most captivating part is Old Montreal, with the stunning Notre Dame Basilica and the charming Old Port.

  • Place Jacques-Cartier: the heart of Old Montreal is this pedestrian square, named after the French explorer tasked with finding new resources for France. Limited time, plenty to see: let's hit the ground running!

Let's go back to Toronto

Today marks our return to Toronto and a breathtaking encounter with one of the world's most iconic natural wonders: the Niagara Falls complex!

Straddling the border of the United States and Canada, it consists of three distinct waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls, the largest, has a horseshoe-shaped crest stretching approximately 792 meters and descending 57 meters into the Niagara River. American Falls spans around 323 meters in width, with a drop of about 54 meters, while Bridal Veil Falls, the smallest, sits next to it.

  • By ferry to the falls: to enhance our view, we won't miss a ferry ride: get ready for a refreshing experience!

  • Last dinner together: after this whirlwind of emotions and water, we gather for our last dinner together.

The journey is coming to an end, but our minds are already wandering to the next adventure. Here's to us and the journeys yet to come. Cheers!

Check-out and goodbye

Time to go back home: see you again on your next WeRoad adventure!
