Itinerary

Colorado is where the American West shows its wildest and most diverse side: towering peaks, alpine lakes, scenic drives, and unexpected desert landscapes all in one journey. We start in the vibrant city of Denver  before heading straight into the heart of the Rockies, exploring iconic spots like Rocky Mountain National Park with its crystal-clear lakes and high-altitude trails. From there, the road becomes part of the adventure: mountain passes, historic towns, and breathtaking drives lead us to legendary destinations like Aspen and the surreal landscapes of Great Sand Dunes National Park. Along the way, we’ll experience the real American West: scenic highways, small towns with character, and nature that constantly shifts from alpine to desert. This is a road trip designed for travelers who want it all: epic views, outdoor adventure, and that unbeatable feeling of freedom that only the open road can deliver! Are you ready? See you in Denver!

High Mile City

After our arrival, let's get your first taste of the city after our Welcome Meeting! We’ll ease in with a walk around downtown and the historic Union Station Denver, the perfect place to soak in the local vibe. This is our first night together as we get ready for the adventure ahead!

A wide river winds through a green meadow towards distant, snow-capped mountains under a partly cloudy sky.

Nature and Mountains!

Today we head into the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park. Expect alpine lakes, fresh mountain air, and some of the most scenic trails in the state, including Bear Lake and Emerald Lake. If conditions allow, we’ll drive along the legendary Trail Ridge Road, one of the highest paved roads in the U.S. A full immersion into the Rockies before settling for the night back in the city!

A high-angle view of a snow-covered mountain town from a snowy slope with tracks in the foreground.

Mountain passes and towns

We hit the road for one of the most beautiful drives of the trip, crossing mountain passes like Kenosha Pass and stopping in the charming town of Breckenridge, where Old West meets alpine style. By the afternoon we reach Aspen, surrounded by peaks and forests. A perfect blend of nature and mountain town atmosphere!

A mountain range with snow patches overlooks a valley filled with autumn-colored forests and a lake, under a partly cloudy sky.

Sunrise and hikes

Early start for one of the most iconic landscapes in the U.S.: the Maroon Bells. Sunrise here is unforgettable. We’ll explore the area with scenic hikes like Maroon Lake and Crater Lake, surrounded by dramatic peaks reflected in crystal-clear water. A true Colorado highlight!

A high-angle view of a deep, rocky canyon with a dark blue river winding through the bottom and sparse green trees on the cliffs.

Discovering the Black Canyon

Today we head south to the dramatic Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, known for its steep cliffs and deep, narrow gorge. Then we continue to Ouray, often called the “Switzerland of America,” with its alpine setting and relaxed vibe. Time to unwind surrounded by mountains!

A wide street in a historic town with brick buildings and autumn trees, with a mountain rising in the background under a cloudy blue sky.

Adventure and adrenaline!

One of the most scenic drives in the country awaits: the legendary Million Dollar Highway. Expect jaw-dropping views at every turn as we make our way south. For those looking for extra adrenaline, there’s the chance to add a via ferrata, a panoramic hike along the route or a rafting/kayak adventure! By the end of the day, we arrive in Durango, where the Old West atmosphere is still alive.

A dry, grassy plain leads to rolling sand dunes with a range of snow-capped mountains in the background under a cloudy sky.

Sanboarding in the desert

We switch landscapes once again and head to Great Sand Dunes National Park, home to the tallest dunes in North America. Here, it’s all about fun and exploration: hiking on the dunes, trying sandboarding, and enjoying a completely different side of Colorado. Later, we make our way back toward Denver, with possible stops along the way!

An aerial view of a large baseball stadium and empty roads with a modern city skyline and mountains in the background.

Goodbye Colorado!

The end of our adventure has arrived, it's time to say goodbye to our new friends and to this beautiful State, with our mind, our soul and our cameras full of epic landscapes and memories! See you on the next trip!
