Itinerary

Corfu is a wonderful island off the north-west coast of Greece, with golden sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and a vibrant nightlife: the recipe for the perfect holiday. Expect endless beaches, lush green nature dotted with olive trees and typical little villages.

We discover Corfu through dreamlike corners such as Palaiokastritsa and Paxos, and its impressive rocky coastline will certainly amaze us. Add the Canal d’Amour in Sidari and a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon, and the enchanting atmosphere will make us fall in love with this paradise by the Ionian Sea.

Check-in: let's start this adventure!

Roundtrip flights or transportation to reach the destination are not included in the package, so you can decide from where and when you want to leave! This gives you complete freedom of choice to adjust your travel itinerary to your needs.

Hotel check-in and welcome meeting in Corfu.

  • Pita gyros for dinner? For dinner we could already taste the local pita gyros: it may soon become our favourite dish on the trip!

  • First night out: Then we choose a place in town to start off our first night in the best possible way.

A high-angle view of a twin cove with turquoise water and sandy beaches, nestled between lush green hills under a clear sky.

Vive l’amour

Early wake-up, everyone: today we’re heading to Sidari! This little village has something we simply can't miss.

  • The Canal d’Amour: The Canal d’Amour (Channel of Love) is a rocky area surrounded by thick vegetation, home to a collection of bays and canals. According to tradition, all couples that swim there will be in love forever.

  • A day in the water? From Sidari, we can choose to spend the day in the crystal-clear waters of northern Corfu and start with some relaxation.

  • Or a lagoon excursion? Alternatively, we can organize an excursion to one of the marvelous lagoons formed here over the centuries.

A long-exposure shot of turquoise water washing onto a sandy beach, with a green mountain and coastal buildings in the background.

A lazy morning on Glyfada Beach

A lazy morning lying on velvety golden Glyfada Beach, where we can rent parasols and sunloungers.

  • Up for a dip? Not far from the beach there's a rocky area with some beautiful natural pools.

Pelekas, a village among olive trees

Pelekas is a traditional nearby village perched on a rock and surrounded by olive trees, one of the few places where mass tourism has not spoilt its authenticity or the landscape.

  • Fancy a Mythos? The charming central square is peppered with typical Greek taverns, where we can sip a Mythos, the most popular Greek beer.

Sunset from Kaiser's Throne

On the way back to Ypsos, we stop at a strategic spot on one of the highest mountains on the island: Kaiser’s Throne.

  • Sunset over Corfu: From here we watch the sunset over the superb panorama of Corfu.

The place is famous for the ruins of an ancient observatory, where the German Emperor Wilhelm II used to admire the view as he meditated.

A high-angle view of a small boat floating on clear turquoise water, seen between green trees on a rocky coastline.

Palaiokastritsa Beach and Paradise Beach

Wake up WeRoaders, another wonderful day awaits us! Our main stop is Palaiokastritsa Beach, one of the most stunning pebble and sand beaches in Corfu.

  • Palaiokastritsa Monastery: On the way up we stop by Palaiokastritsa Monastery, a masterpiece and living testimony to Greek monks' way of life, on top of a promontory overlooking the village.

  • By boat to Paradise Beach: From Palaiokastritsa Beach we head off on a boat ride to discover Paradise Beach and its caves.

The Monastery is still inhabited, so we need to be dressed properly and respect the monks who live here.

A secluded beach with turquoise water sits in a cove with a sea cave, nestled below a forested hill at sunset.

An unmissable paradise

An early start today, but it's totally worth it: we catch the ferry to Paxos, a precious gem in the heart of the Ionian Sea. A paradise we won't let slip away!

  • Villages and harbours: Only a few square kilometres of exquisite coastline, with charming villages, quaint harbours and idyllic pebble beaches.

  • From cliffs to coves: To the west, majestic ivory cliffs plummet into glistening turquoise waters; to the east, small coves gradually descend into serene emerald waters.

  • The green heart of the island: At the centre, a lush oasis of olive groves, oleanders and cypress trees.

Sailboats anchored in a calm bay with turquoise water, a sandy beach, and green, tree-covered hills.

Boat trip to the Blue Lagoon

A light breakfast, then we head to Lefkemi for the first excursion of the day.

  • By boat to the Blue Lagoon: A boat trip to the turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon, in the Syvota area: about 40 minutes of sailing.

  • Sun or music? We can choose to spend the crossing relaxing under the sun or with energy and music, depending on the mood of our travel companions!

Issos Beach or Barbati Beach?

Here we are at Issos Beach, a pristine golden beach stretching for miles, with sand dunes reminiscent of the desert.

  • Or Barbati? If we were to get bored under the beach umbrella, we could do something more active on another wonderful beach: Barbati!

  • Kayak, windsurf or jet ski? We are spoilt for choice: kayaking, windsurfing or jet ski excursions.

Then we enjoy another sunset by the sea.

An aerial view of a historic coastal city featuring a fortress, a park, and a large cruise ship in the harbor.

Achilleion, Princess Sissi’s palace

A few kilometres from Corfu Town, we admire the Achilleion, Princess Sissi’s summer palace.

  • Inspired by Achilles: The mansion was designed by an Italian architect and inspired by the myth of Achilles.

  • Museum and gardens: Today it is a museum of Greek mythology, with wonderful sea views and beautiful gardens with tall palm trees and flowers.

Did you know the palace was also used as the set for the 12th James Bond film?

Corfu Town, old Kerkira

Time to explore Kerkira, the Greek name of Corfu Town: a maze of narrow streets leading into small squares, typical cafés and traditional restaurants.

  • The main square: The large main square divides the town centre from the old city.

  • The old district: A must-see, with a 16th-century fortress, small chapels, craft shops and colourful markets.

  • The Royal Palace: Overlooking the sea, the Royal Palace is home to the Art Gallery and Asian Art Museum.

A mix of styles: typically Venetian architecture in the old town, French inspiration that can be seen in the Liston Palace, churches harking back to the Byzantine Empire and a temple of Artemis in Doric style.

The sun sets over a calm ocean next to towering white limestone cliffs under a clear sky.
