Itinerary

An on the road adventure that crosses France in all its shades: from the elegance of Paris to the magic of the Renaissance castles of the Loire Valley, to the ocean dunes, passing through the scents of the South, the cuisine of Lyon, and the vineyards of Burgundy.

Eight days amidst completely different landscapes and a group of new friends to share music in the car, spontaneous laughter, and sunsets that never end.

Each stop has its own soul: Paris welcomes us with its art and energy, the Loire Valley enchants us with history, Bordeaux captivates us with wine, Toulouse slows us down with its sweet life, Marseille embraces us with the sea, and Lyon wins us over with its food.

We close the loop, returning to Paris after a stop through the vineyards of Burgundy, infinitely rich in authentic moments and memories.

A trip for those who want to feel the freedom of the road, discover something new every day, and come home with the best feeling of all: “I’d do it again in a heartbeat”.

Paris: lights, art, and first toasts

Check-in at the hotel in Paris, here's how the meeting works!

We arrive in the city of lights: Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and a toast at sunset on the Seine before starting our road trip. Paris is the perfect start to the journey: chaotic, romantic, and alive.

A long, unpaved path leads across a vast green lawn to a large, ornate white castle with many towers under a partly cloudy sky.

From the capital to the Loire Valley Castles

We pick up our rental car, our adventure companion for the next few days, and set off towards the Loire Valley, the land of kings and poets. Between majestic castles and perfect gardens, we feel like we're part of another era. We discover the Château de Chambord, one of the most famous in France, and spend the afternoon exploring Amboise, where Leonardo Da Vinci is buried!

A grand historical building and cloudy sky are reflected in the wet surface of a large city plaza at sunset.

From the Loire to Bordeaux

In the morning we get back on the road with a mandatory stop at a bakery and then arrive in Bordeaux. We visit Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d’Eau, a symbol of the city, and the very famous Cité du Vin. Wine tasting, laughter, and sunset on the riverbank. Bordeaux is elegance and a perfect slow pace.

A WeRoad group trip on a large sand dune overlooking a pine forest and the sea on an overcast day.

Dunes and back to the city

Today we head towards the ocean! We'll climb Europe's highest dune, sand under our feet and wind in our hair. From up here, the view is surreal: ocean, pine forest, and sky blending together. We'll hop in the car and head to Toulouse where we'll stroll along the Canal du Midi, admire the Capitole, and get lost in salmon-colored streets.

A bustling harbor filled with sailboats and a tour boat, with a city and a prominent basilica on a hill in the background.

Old Port and Marseille Soap

The air changes to a scent of sea and a Southern accent. The old port of Marseille is bustling with life, the alleys of Le Panier tell stories and colors. But that's not all! We'll participate in a unique experience where we'll make our own very own Marseille Soap together, the perfect souvenir for this trip.

An aerial view of a sprawling European city with a large square featuring a Ferris wheel, a river, and a bridge in the foreground.

Let's try French cuisine in a bouchon

We leave the sea behind us and head inland to reach the capital of French gastronomy par excellence. Secret traboules, Basilica de Fourvière, and irresistible dishes in the lyonnais bouchons. Here, the art of eating well is a routine, and we'll happily join in the local tradition!

A view of the Eiffel Tower seen through a blurred foreground, set against a dark, cloudy sky over the cityscape.

Lunch in Burgundy and back to Paris

We're heading back to the capital, but we'll stop for a break in a unique spot amidst the Burgundy vineyards. We'll have time for lunch and a glass of wine among the fields of grapes before heading back to Paris in the afternoon. There'll be time for a stroll around Montmartre before gathering together to share memories of our trip at our farewell dinner.

The facade of Notre Dame Cathedral on a sunny day, with people walking in the large plaza in front of the reconstruction site.

Check-out and goodbyes

We’re sure it’s been an intense yet amazing time – when they say time flies, it really doesn’t feel like it’s over, does it? Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll still have time to enjoy the capital and some delicious French pastries. Then it’ll be time to say goodbye, or rather, to plan your next WeRoad adventure!
