Austria: Kitzbühel Ski & Snowboard Express

Itinerary
Want to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, adrenaline, and fun? Welcome to Kitzbühel, where winter is anything but an ordinary season!
An adventure awaits us in the heart of the Austrian Alps, where perfectly groomed slopes blend with breathtaking scenery and legendary après-ski. Kitzbühel, with its 230 km of slopes, is a true paradise for ski lovers, but not only that: between thrilling descents, snowparks, snowshoe hikes, and sledding, every day will be a new adventure. We will stay in the area of Kitzbühel, Kufstein, or the surrounding villages—strategic locations not only to easily reach the Kitzbühel lifts but also to explore other ski resorts in the region, making each day different and full of opportunities. But that’s not all: between runs, we’ll take time to relax in alpine spas, enjoy traditional dishes, and of course, party as we should. Because in Kitzbühel, as everyone knows, the day doesn’t end when you take off your ski boots—another epic night begins, filled with music, toasts, and group laughter. A trip for those who love snow, sports, but also fun and good company. Backpack ready, skis or snowboard on, and off we go: winter is waiting for us!

Welcome to Kitzbühel!
1 night: Kitzbühel area
Welcome to the Austrian Alps!
Our adventure begins! We meet in the afternoon in Kitzbühel, (and we gather for welcome meeting— click here to see how it works!) a jewel tucked into the Austrian Alps. After settling in, we gather for a delicious traditional dinner—a perfect way to break the ice and get to know each other before the days of skiing ahead.
As night falls, Kitzbühel’s lively bars and clubs are waiting. We raise a glass to new friendships and the adventures that await us on the slopes.

Finally on the slopes!
3 nights: Kitzbühel area
Everyone on the snow!
Good morning, riders - the mountains are calling! Over the next three days, we dive into pure winter bliss: snow, adrenaline, and endless fun. The Kitzbühel ski area is our playground, with challenging runs for experts and gentle slopes for those easing into their stride.
Need gear? No problem - everything can be rented right here, though you’re welcome to bring your own trusty skis or board. But our days aren’t just about the slopes. We’ve got après-ski parties, live music, ice skating, cross-country trails, and scenic winter hikes. And if the lure of a cozy mountain hut proves too strong, there’s always time to stop for a warm drink and a breathtaking view.
Of course, relaxation is part of the plan too. An afternoon in a soothing Alpine spa is the perfect way to recharge before the next day’s adventures.

See you soon Austria!

All in all it was a very successful trip, although at the beginning I thought it wouldn't even take place since a Travel Coordinator was only found 1.5 weeks before. But the best was made of it. And we also had a super group.

The trip was a great experience, I really enjoyed the week and the group was really class. The Travel Coordinator did a super job and organised everything perfectly.

Perfect for winter sports fans who are in the mood for mountains, snow and après-ski – though with several organizational glitches. The trip was apparently carried out as a WeRoadX trip, during which problems occurred. For instance, breakfast was initially not Included in the trip price, even though this was communicated differently. The organization as a whole needs to be significantly improved. Unfortunately, the rental cars were not at all suitable for a ski trip with luggage and ski equipment. In addition, the arrival and departure location was changed at short notice from Salzburg to Munich, which again led to considerable difficulties in coordinating the rental cars. This rescheduling had to be taken on by the Travel Coordinator, which unfortunately led to great unrest within the group – another organizational glitch. Additionally, there was a discrepancy regarding the Accommodation: the hotel was located in Kufstein and not in Kitzbühel as stated, which made a daily commute to the ski areas necessary. From my point of view, for such a trip it would be much more sensible to organize larger vans or minibuses. Due to the split into several rental cars, individual people always had to drive, which meant that après-ski was only possible to a limited extent for these drivers. It should be highlighted positively, however, that the region offers much more than just skiing: winter hikes are possible, as are toboggan excursions to corresponding alpine pastures. For New Year's Eve, there are also open-air DJ parties that provide a special atmosphere. The Hotel Stadt Kufstein was excellent: The rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast buffet very tasty and generous, the staff extremely friendly. In addition, a sauna area was available, which offered a welcome opportunity to relax after the days of skiing. The evening program was open and had to be organized by the Travel Coordinator, which led to difficulties with table reservations, especially at short notice and on New Year's Eve. Despite all the points mentioned, it was overall a completely successful trip, which can be adapted very flexibly in its activities depending on the interests of the group. Provided the glitches are fixed, an absolutely recommendable trip!

It was a different way to spend New Year's Eve and it was a lot of fun. :-) However, the biggest drawback was that the trip was officially advertised with Kitzbühel, but we were accommodated in Kufstein. As a result, some time was lost during the days travelling to and from the respective ski spots. Nothing too tragic, but in the future, this should be communicated officially in advance.

Thanks Marc, we're sorry staying in Kufstein rather than Kitzbühel cost you time on the road. We're glad the New Year was still fun.

The Accommodation was very nice, but unfortunately in Kufstein, which does not live up to the expectation created by the title "Kitzbühel".

Thanks Angelo, we're sorry the stay in Kufstein didn't match what the Kitzbühel name led you to expect. We've taken note.
