The ancient streets of Valletta, a dive into the Blue Lagoon of Comino, hidden bays, the caves of Gozo: the perfect trip to Malta doesn’t exist, but in our opinion, this comes really close.

Itinerary

Only a few days available, and you need the sea, vitamin D and fun? Here is the trip you've been waiting for: a 6-day experience in Malta to enjoy the best of the island.

We start in the ancient streets of Valletta, diving into history and art. Then we head to the magical Blue Lagoon of Comino, where crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The adventure continues on the island of Gozo, with its hidden bays and mysterious caves, and of course the beaches of northern Malta, where we relax and enjoy the sun. Six days of emotions, breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable adventures: ready to go?

Check-in and a first Maltese dinner

Roundtrip flights or transportation to reach the destination are not included in the package, so you can decide from where and when you want to leave! This gives you complete freedom of choice to adjust your travel itinerary to your needs.

Hotel check-in, then off we go exploring!

  • Looking for a typical spot: as we wander, we keep our eyes open for a place where we can try something typical for our first Maltese dinner.

  • Start with the national dish? To start off on the right foot, perhaps the Stuffat Tal-Fenek: this rabbit-based dish is considered the national dish of the island.

An aerial view of a tropical bay with clear turquoise water, two boats, and a sandy beach with a wooden pier and palm trees.

Cathedral, gardens and harbour

This morning we start with the capital, La Valletta: everywhere we turn, there's something spectacular to see.

  • St. John's Cathedral: we cannot miss the magnificent St. John's Cathedral, the architectural masterpiece of the city.

  • Upper Barrakka Gardens: here we can take a panoramic stroll that makes us feel like kings or queens.

  • Along the Grand Harbour: we can take a leap into the past along the ancient defensive walls, with a spectacular view.

  • Fancy a free walking tour? To save time, we can always join one of the many free walking tours, a fun way to socialize while exploring the city.

Valletta is a cocktail of history, art and breathtaking views.

Stand-up paddle boarding time!

After lunch, comfortable shoes and swimsuits on: we take public transport heading north to Golden Bay, one of Malta's most famous beaches, known for its sandy dunes and crystal-clear waters.

  • Stand-up paddle boarding: our first adventure starts here, as we grab our paddles and head out on the clear water!

  • Sunset aperitif: after the workout, some relaxation and an aperitif at sunset.

Aerial view of a rocky inlet with vibrant turquoise water, where several boats are docked and people are swimming.

Snorkeling between two lagoons

Get ready for a breathtaking adventure! This morning we head north and jump aboard a boat to the enchanting little island of Comino.

  • Between two lagoons: the Blue Lagoon and the Crystal Lagoon welcome us with transparent waters and caves straight out of a fantasy movie.

  • Snorkeling in the lagoons: crystal-clear waters, practically nirvana for divers.

  • Sweet idleness: then total relaxation under the blazing sun, with a whole day to enjoy this paradise on earth.

A harbor filled with boats and yachts in front of a hillside town featuring a large church under a golden sunset.

An epic day

Early wake-up, quick breakfast and off we go for an epic day on the island of Gozo!

  • Bus and ferry to Gozo: the 222 bus takes us to Cirkewwa, where we catch the ferry to Gozo.

  • Quads, scooters, jeeps or e-bikes? On the island we choose our means of transport together: it could be quads, scooters, jeeps or electric bikes.

  • First stop, Ramla Bay: golden beach and turquoise waters. Alternatively, or if we have time, we can continue to the Blue Hole on the west coast, where you might encounter lobsters, moray eels and large groupers among the rock formations created after the collapse of the Azure Window, a playground for divers.

  • Lunch in a village? Why not take a break in a picturesque Gozitan village and enjoy some local specialties?

For the rental, let's remember our driver's license and a credit card for any security deposits! In the late afternoon we return to Sliema: ferry + bus and we're home.

Sea, water sports and Paceville

Last day of the trip and therefore total relaxation! And when we talk about relaxation, beaches come to mind first.

  • Into water sports? First option: St. George's Bay beach, reached by public transport in no time. It's a paradise for water sports: if you love jet skiing, parasailing or banana boating, you can't miss it.

  • Rather take it easy? If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere and postcard-perfect water, another bus takes us to Golden Bay beach, a golden expanse of sand for sunbathing or a refreshing dip.

  • Last night in Paceville? As the sun sets, we can all head to Paceville, the hub of Malta's entertainment: bars, clubs and discos for one last unforgettable evening.
