Itinerary

A few days in Northern Italy are all we need: wander stylish Milan, cruise the dreamy waters of Lake Como, and explore the grand piazzas of Turin. Expect cobblestone streets, alpine air, espresso breaks, and more than one perfect aperitivo at sunset.

There’s something magnetic about Northern Italy — elegant, tasty, creative, effortlessly chic. From Milan’s modern skyline and storied streets to the serene beauty of Lake Como and the regal charm of Turin, this express trip brings together the very best of Northern Italy. We’ll stroll through art-filled piazzas, sail between colorful lake towns, ride a historic funicular, and toast la dolce vita with new friends.

Our adventure begins in Milan, Italy’s fashion and design capital. After settling in, we’ll dive into the city’s highlights — the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and Castello Sforzesco — before escaping to the tranquility of Lake Como. Then, we’ll step into the refined elegance of Turin, tasting its famous chocolate and admiring its royal architecture.

Check-in: our adventure starts in Milan

Roundtrip flights or transportation to reach the destination are not included, so you can arrive whenever suits you best. We meet in Milan in the late afternoon, check into our accommodation, stretch our legs, and head out for a relaxed dinner or classic aperitivo in the Navigli district. The canals shimmer, locals fill the terraces, and we kick off the trip with a toast: benvenuti in Italia!

Milano Classics

After breakfast, we start exploring Italy’s chic capital. We’ll visit the Duomo and climb to its rooftop terraces for panoramic views, stroll through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and walk across to the Castello Sforzesco and Parco Sempione for a green break. The afternoon is waiting for more: art at the Brera Gallery, shopping in the fashion district, or coffee people-watching in a piazza. In the evening, we'll gather for dinner and a true trattoria milanese.

Lake Como Adventure

It’s time to escape the city! We take a morning train to Como, where the mountains meet the lake. First, we’ll ride the historic Como-Brunate funicular, a short climb that rewards us with breathtaking views, and a scenic walk to the Volta Lighthouse for the best panorama of the lake. Then we descend and set sail across the shimmering water toward Bellagio and Varenna, two of Italy’s most romantic villages. We’ll wander cobblestone alleys, and grab gelato by the water, before heading out to Milan,

Day Trip to Turin

Today we board a the train again to arrive to in elegant Turin, the first capital of Italy. Between baroque palaces and café-lined arcades, Turin charms us with its royal history and famous chocolate. We’ll visit Piazza San Carlo, Mole Antonelliana, and maybe even taste the local bicerin, a decadent blend of coffee, chocolate, and cream. There’s time to explore the Egyptian Museum or just wander the streets and soak in the city’s laid-back vibe before heading back to Milan for another evening together.

Several bottles of red wine with price tags are displayed for sale in a wine shop.

See you soon!

Our final morning has arrived: last cappuccinos, strolls to grab souvenirs, and a final group photo. We swap contacts (if not done already), share inside jokes, and promise to meet again. Check-out and heartfelt arrivederci, until the next WeRoad adventure!
