Itinerary
A tropical paradise of crystal-clear seas, lush jungle and postcard-perfect islands: on this trip we explore two of the archipelago's most captivating areas. We begin in Bohol, with pristine white beaches, turquoise waters and the famous Chocolate Hills, where we can spot tarsiers, the small primates that inhabit the island.
In Palawan we cross the world's longest underground river, discover lakes and lagoons, relax on tropical beaches and dive into crystal-clear waters. Between snorkeling, island hopping and breathtaking sunsets, we move through Port Barton and San Vicente to El Nido, the most iconic face of the Philippines, with hidden lagoons and limestone cliffs. The finale? Daracotan Island: a small, remote island where we sleep in tents overlooking the sea, facing a sunken shipwreck. If you love adventure, the sea and nature, this trip is for you!

Welcome to the Philippines!
Check-in and a first taste of Manila
Round trip flights are not included in the package, so you can choose from where and when you want to fly. This is to give you maximum freedom of choice!
After arriving in Manila and checking in at the hotel, we kick off the tour the best way possible: through food! The evening is all about making new friends around the table.
Fancy some local flavours? You might want to try "adobo", a delightful chicken and pork stew, perhaps with a side of "ukoy", a prawn and sweet potato pancake.
Let's raise a glass to toast the start of our fantastic Philippine adventure!

Bohol: beach heaven
From Manila to Alona Beach
The alarm rings early, but for a great reason: we're catching a flight to Bohol! The adventure begins with a perfect mix of relaxation, beach, sun and sea. The island is famous for its snow-white beaches, framed by palm trees and turquoise water.
Afternoon at our own pace: how we spend it depends on when we land (yes, flight times can vary based on availability).
Night on Panglao Island: tonight we stay on Panglao Island, known for spots like Alona Beach and its super local vibes.
Dinner at the fish market: think fish markets where we can grab dinner together.

Bohol: Chocolate Hills and tarsiers
A free day in nature
Today is all about choosing what you'd most like to do. Our recommendation? Take a break from the beach and visit the famous Chocolate Hills.
No, they aren't edible! These more than a thousand hills turn brown in the autumn, resembling chocolate, while in the rainy season they turn a vibrant green. They remain a mystery, untouched by humans: no trees or shrubs grow on their slopes, which stand out against the lush forests below.
Looking for tarsiers? At the base of the hills lives another iconic symbol of the Philippines: the tarsiers, tiny primates with large, bright yellow eyes, usually active at night. If we're lucky enough to spot them by day, we stay quiet and avoid touching them: they're sensitive and easily stressed.
More into the sea? We can choose activities like diving or snorkeling instead.
Either way, we return to Panglao for another relaxing evening before our next destination.

Palawan: heading to Puerto Princesa
Paradise is calling!
Today we say goodbye to Bohol and get ready for a travel day.
By ferry to Cebu: a scenic ferry ride of a couple of hours to Cebu.
Flight to Palawan: then a short flight to the paradise island of Palawan, which stretches nearly 400 miles towards the coast of Borneo and boasts some of the most breathtaking seascapes in the Philippines.
Night in Puerto Princesa: we arrive in the vibrant city of Puerto Princesa, where we settle in for the night and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Puerto Princesa: legendary caves and sunset vibes
One of the 7 wonders of the natural world
This morning we're full of energy and heading straight to Sabang, a small town tucked between the jungle and the ocean. Ready for something extraordinary?
Along the underground river: the Underground River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the longest navigable underground river in the world, at 8 km. We hop on a boat and cruise inside, passing monkeys and lizards at the entrance, amazed by karst landscapes formed over thousands of years.
On to Port Barton: after lunch we head to Port Barton, where the sand crunches under your feet. We drop our backpacks in our room a stone's throw from the sea.
Sunset at the beach club: at the Sunset Beach Club we have a reserved table and a drink while the horizon over Pagdanan Bay sets on fire.

Port Barton: tropical freedom
Relax between beaches and jungle
Today Port Barton is all about living at our own pace. What will it be?
Beach day? We can chill on the beach surrounded by turquoise waters and palm trees, with a dip in the crystal-clear sea.
Up for a walk? A nature walk to a hidden waterfall tucked away in the tropical jungle.
Itching to explore? There's the option to head to San Vicente and discover some of the area's most stunning beaches, with incredible views and truly authentic vibes.
Rather take it slow? If so, we get lost in the village streets and soak up the laid-back atmosphere of this little slice of paradise.

Island hopping, dream-style
A boat day around Port Barton
Waking up to the sound of the waves, with breakfast and a sea view: today is officially one of the best days of the trip! We hop on our boat to explore the very best of Port Barton: colorful reefs, tropical islands and crystal-clear waters.
Snorkeling at Twin Reef: first stop, Twin Reef, in search of corals and tropical fish. If luck is on our side, we might even spot some sea turtles.
Lunch on Inaladelan Island: then Inaladelan Island for total relaxation, turquoise seas and a local lunch prepared right by the crew.

El Nido: two days in paradise
Based in Sitio Lugadia
Leaving Port Barton won't be easy, but El Nido will win you over in no time. This little village in northern Palawan is famous for hidden lagoons, limestone cliffs and blindingly white sandy beaches. We're based in Sitio Lugadia, perfect for some tropical chill close to the buzz of the center, with its markets, shops and seaside hangouts.
Two completely free days: here's how we could spend them.
Hike to Taraw Cliff? Head up to Taraw Cliff for a killer view of the bay.
Into the water? Go snorkeling or diving in the local reefs.
Rather slow down? Do some yoga with an ocean view, or just kick back on the beach.

Daracotan Island: night under the stars
Shipwrecks and bonfires
Time to say goodbye to El Nido and head towards the wilder north. But first, sun at Nacpan Beach, an endless stretch of golden sand and turquoise water.
By boat to Daracotan: a quick boat ride takes us to Daracotan Island, a remote paradise far from everything. Our home is a bell tent right on the beach, overlooking a shipwreck peeking out of the water.
Snorkeling around the wreck: we dive straight in among corals and colorful fish, then get a glimpse of authentic local village life.
Bonfire under the stars: when the sun goes down, if the weather is on our side, we light a beach bonfire under a blanket of stars.
Falling asleep to the sound of the sea, with the kind of peace only a nearly untouched island can offer: pure magic!

TayTay: one last goodbye and off to Manila
Final hours of the trip
Time to say goodbye to Daracotan Island as we start heading south.
Fort TayTay: first stop, the historic Fort TayTay, an ancient Spanish fortress overlooking the bay, where we soak up Palawan's colonial past.
A dip at the waterfalls: not far away, one last refreshing dip at the Taytay waterfalls, tucked away in the tropical forest.
Flight back to Manila: then a beeline for Puerto Princesa and the flight back to Manila. On the road, we relive the sunsets in Port Barton and the lagoons of El Nido.
It's time to say goodbye: we take home the energy of the Philippines, the group's smiles and backpacks full of incredible stories. A piece of our heart stays on these islands!

See you later, Philippines!
