Itinerary

Get ready to fall in love with Porto, a stunning city of azulejo-tiled hills, historic wine cellars, and the winding Douro River. This weekend is designed to be a total sensory explosion, taking us from the legendary and indulgent "Francesinha" food challenge to the mesmerizing golden hues of the Ribeira district at sunset. We won’t just walk the city; we’ll navigate the river on a traditional Rabelo boat, viewing the six iconic bridges from a unique perspective that perfectly highlights Porto’s dramatic vertical beauty and architectural heritage.

Across the water in Vila Nova de Gaia, we’ll dive deep into the rich history of Port Wine with an exclusive private tasting tucked away in centuries-old cellars. From the dizzying heights of the Clérigos Tower to the bustling stalls of the historic Mercado do Bolhão, Porto offers an authentic Portuguese charm that is both wonderfully gritty and undeniably beautiful. We'll wander through narrow cobblestone alleys and discover hidden squares where the traditions of the past meet a vibrant, modern energy. Join us for a weekend filled with riverside vibes, breathtaking rooftop sunsets, and the kind of unforgettable social energy you only find in one of Europe's most charismatic and soulful cities. It's time to toast with a glass of Tawny and discover why Porto captures the hearts of everyone who visits!

Arrival in the City of Bridges

Bem-vindo ao Porto! We’ll start our adventure at the São Bento Train Station, marveling at its 20,000 blue and white azulejo tiles that tell the story of Portugal. After checking in, we’ll head to the Ribeira district to walk the riverfront before tackling the legendary Francesinha challenge—Porto's iconic and decadent sandwich. We’ll finish the night with drinks in the lively galleries of Rua da Galeria de Paris, the heart of the city's nightlife.

The Douro and the magic of Port

We start our morning on the water with a Six Bridges boat cruise, drifting under the monumental Dom Luís I Bridge to see Porto’s architecture from below. Afterward, we cross the river to Vila Nova de Gaia for a deep dive into the world of Port Wine, touring a historic cellar and enjoying a tasting of different varieties. We’ll spend the sunset at Jardim do Morro, enjoying one of the best views in Europe before a final group dinner overlooking the Douro.

Panoramic heights and sweet treats

Our final morning is for panoramic views as we climb the Clérigos Tower for a 360-degree look at the city rooftops and the river beyond. We’ll enjoy a final coffee and a warm Pastel de Nata while browsing the independent shops of the Cedofeita district. We’ll say our goodbyes and swap contact info before catching the metro back to the airport for our afternoon flights, leaving a piece of our heart in Porto.
