Riga Weekend: Sauna Rituals & Underground Vibes

Itinerary
Join us for a weekend in Riga exploring Nordic rituals, underground clubs, and Baltic vibes.
This isn't just a classic sightseeing trip with rushing between monuments or hurried visits. You come here to live the city like the locals do, immersing yourself in its raw, creative, and surprisingly welcoming atmosphere.
Between Nordic coffee culture, traditional saunas overlooking the lake, and techno nights in old converted industrial spaces, this trip is designed for those who want to truly break free from routine and let themselves be carried away by an intense, authentic experience shared with the group.
The highlight? An authentic ritual sauna: 90 degrees that melt away your thoughts, birch branches perfuming the air, a plunge into the icy lake that awakens every cell in your body, and finally, hot herbal teas sipped by the fire, as the silence of the forest falls outside.
If you've never done an ice plunge after a sauna... this weekend could genuinely change your life (or at least your nervous system).

Riga Urban Warm-Up
1 night: Riga
Urban Warm-Up
We land in Riga, drop off our backpacks, and dive straight into the heart of the city: the Old Town.
We wander through medieval alleys, colorful buildings, and squares that look like they're straight out of a Nordic fairy tale, discovering the House of the Blackheads, Riga Cathedral, and St. Peter’s Church. It’s the perfect way to start soaking up that Baltic energy.
For dinner, a super contemporary take on a typical experience awaits us at one of the city's coolest spots, like Milda or Folkklubs Ala Pagrabs, where we'll taste reimagined local flavors.
And then? It's time for nightlife: hidden speakeasy-style bars, craft beer, and a creative city vibe. Possible stops? Labietis and Nurme Bar, two institutions for those who know how to drink well.
The night is young… and Riga has only just begun to show us what it’s got.

Heat & Ice: the sauna ritual
1 night: Riga
Riga Underground
We have a slow morning when we’ll enjoy a brunch at a specialty coffee shop like Rocket Bean Roastery or Miit Coffee, surrounded by the aroma of filter coffee and Nordic vibes.
Then the highlight of the trip: the sauna ritual. In just a few minutes, we’ll leave the center of Riga and head to a sauna nestled in nature. Here, the sauna ritual is pure tradition: 80–90°C, a dip in the lake or the Baltic Sea, whisking with birch branches, and hot herbal teas.
Back in the city, we’ll start getting ready for the night: this time, we’re aiming for the local electronic scene, with old industrial spaces transformed into clubs, local DJs, and an international crowd.
Spoiler alert: you may not be heading home early!

Our final morning starts with a slow pace, just how we like it. We'll treat ourselves to a relaxed brunch, good coffee, and then off for a final stroll together at the Riga Central Market, the city's most famous market. Here you'll find absolutely everything: freshly baked rye bread, smoked fish, local cheeses, and lots of Baltic street food perfect for those last bites.
After immersing ourselves in the scents and colors of the market, a guided tour of the Old Town awaits us: a journey through medieval alleys, ancient merchants' houses, historic squares, and Riga's most famous icons. A final immersion in its Nordic atmosphere, amid stories, curiosities, and glimpses that will remain etched in your memory.
Amidst chats, laughter, and those final moments with the group, it's time for goodbyes.
