Itinerary

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend in the Eternal City! We kick off Friday evening in Rome with a dinner packed with flavour.

Saturday will be a day full of discoveries: we'll explore Rome's iconic sights together, from the Colosseum to the Imperial Forums, passing by the Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, and the Trevi Fountain. We'll get lost in the alleys of the historic centre, on an itinerary that blends culture and wonder. We'll be able to see why Rome is described as an open-air museum.

In the evening, we can soak up the city streets like true locals, hit up some of the capital's clubs, or head to a rooftop bar to admire the historic centre's rooftops.

On Sunday, after a cappuccino and a delicious maritozzo with cream, we'll still have time to visit other parts of the city, snap more photos, enjoy one last lunch together, and wrap up our weekend in the afternoon, with new memories, laughs, and maybe even new friendships.

Arrival and first taste of Rome

Our weekend in Rome kicks off in the late afternoon with check-in. After settling in, we head to Trastevere, one of the capital's most beloved neighbourhoods. Here, amidst the cobblestones, narrow streets lit by soft lights, and the sound of Roman folk songs, we'll tuck into a trattoria dinner featuring typical Roman dishes like carbonara, amatriciana, or cacio e pepe.

It’s the perfect moment to break the ice and start sharing laughs and stories over a good glass of wine. After dinner, we'll wander through the lively squares and buzzing bars, soaking up the warm and welcoming atmosphere of a Roman evening. The weekend has just begun, but the vibe is already spot on: relaxed, convivial, authentic.

A high-angle view of ancient ruins, including arches and columns, with a historic city skyline under a blue sky.

Classic Rome, a stroll through history

After a good breakfast at a local café, we’ll kick off the day with a one-of-a-kind walking tour. Starting in the quieter, less touristy streets of Trastevere, we’ll make our way through Tiber Island and the Jewish Ghetto, listening to our guide’s entertaining stories and fun facts (definitely not your typical boring history lesson!), before arriving at the Pantheon. Ready to queue up for a bit to get inside? Yep, it’s absolutely worth it!

Amid postcard-perfect views and fascinating stories about the Eternal City, we’ll wander along historic cobbled streets, surrounded by architectural masterpieces and Rome’s unmistakable golden light.

Fountains, squares, and a touch of magic

In the afternoon, we’ll dive into the vibrant heart of Rome’s historic centre. We’ll visit Piazza Navona, then head to the Colosseum for a selfie with one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, before making our way back to the spectacular Trevi Fountain and finishing at the Spanish Steps. Between a coffee break and sunset photos from the Pincio Terrace, we’ll soak up the city’s timeless charm.

Saturday night, our way

After clocking up (so many!) kilometres exploring history, piazzas, and incredible buildings, we deserve a proper second helping of Roman cuisine: some will go back for carbonara, others will dive into a gricia (Roman classic ancient pasta dish), or, if in season, a sacred carciofo alla giudia (a well known Roman Jewish dish)!.

And after dinner? Roman nights offer a thousand possibilities. We could launch into an impromptu karaoke night, dance at a club downtown, or simply get lost in the illuminated alleyways for another drink with our new friends.

An aerial view of a grand basilica with a large dome and a vast colonnaded piazza, overlooking a sprawling city at sunrise.

Morning spent exploring markets, soaking in views, and capturing postcard-perfect moments

Our Roman weekend wraps up with two awesome options for soaking up the city like a true local.

Option A: If you love diving into quirky finds and popular vibes, explore the Porta Portese market. Think vinyl, books, vintage treasures, and that unmistakable buzz of lively chaos and unique finds.

Option B: Want to see the city from a different angle? If you’re up for climbing 551 steps, head up the Dome of St. Peter's for a breathtaking panorama of all of Rome – a final salute to the Eternal City from above.

Either way, we’ll meet up later for a chill stroll, maybe along the Tiber or in front of Castel Sant’Angelo, where every view is perfect for one last memory-making shot. It’s time to slow down, breathe it all in, and hold onto everything we’ve experienced together.

After lunch, it’s, sadly, time to say goodbye. Until next time!
