Sicily 360°: blue sea, stunning sunsets, and ancient wonders

Itinerary
Get ready for the ultimate road trip in Sicily: 10 days of crystal-clear sea, ancient history, incredible food, and unforgettable sunsets. A complete journey, from west to east, packed with culture, relaxation, and moments to share.
We kick off in Palermo, diving into street food and those first group vibes, then hit the road towards Trapani for seaside aperitivos and a day of pure relaxation between beaches and turquoise waters.
We'll pause for one of the most iconic moments of the trip: sunset at the Valley of the Temples, where golden light ignites the ancient ruins, creating a truly unique atmosphere. The next day, we head south-east, balancing relaxation with Baroque wonders, exploring the elegant streets of Modica and Noto, with postcard-perfect views and unforgettable local flavours.
In Syracuse, we'll explore the Neapolis Archaeological Park and the magic of Ortigia, before heading up towards Taormina and Mount Etna.
We return to Palermo to complete the circle of our Sicily 360 trip, experienced to the fullest.

Palermo: our tour kicks off from here
Welcome to Sicily
Flights aren't included in the package, so you can decide which airport to fly from, what time, and with the airline you prefer. This gives you maximum freedom of choice. Catania is also reachable by train or bus.
Check-in at the hotel, here's how the meet-up works! The first thing to do is drop your backpack off and then head straight to the matter that's closest to our hearts, the one that's been buzzing in our heads (and stomachs) since we set foot on Sicilian soil: food.
Let's get to know each other!
After picking up the cars directly at the airport, we're ready to hit the road: the amazing Palermo and its flavors welcome us with open arms. Escaping cannoli and arancine will be impossible, but luckily we'll have some fizzy tamarind to help us digest!

From Palermo to Trapani
...via Erice
Before arriving in Trapani, we'll make a stop in Erice, a village suspended in time and perched on the mountain. Here, we'll get lost among stone alleys, flowery courtyards, and incredible panoramic views of the coast. We'll do a walking tour amidst a medieval atmosphere, castles, and legends, with time to enjoy the scenery and maybe even taste some local sweets.
We're arriving in Trapani
Then we head back towards Trapani, where we continue exploring the historic center and the seafront, letting ourselves be carried by the city's slow rhythm and the salty air. Between a stroll and some sea views, the most anticipated moment arrives: sunset aperitivo, with the sun diving below the horizon and the first group toasts that officially kick off the trip vibes.

Beach day and total freedom
Sea, sea... or still more sea?
It’s our free day to live at the rhythm of the sea. Beaches, dips, relaxation, and zero rigid plans—let’s decide as a group the plans for the day!
For those craving a bit more, there’s the option to organize a boat trip to Favignana or explore the coast and crystal-clear waters of San Vito Lo Capo. Alternatively? Total chill on the beach, sun and sea to your heart’s content.
A perfect day to slow down, recharge, and soak up the most authentic Sicily.

Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples
Morning on the road
Today we'll have the chance to stop off en route in Mazara del Vallo, with its Arabic influences and charming old town, or in the authentic villages of Salemi and Gibellina, steeped in contemporary art and memory.
Sunsets and ancient culture

From Agrigento to Modica
Beach mode: ON
This morning we’re taking it slow and soaking up the most authentic Sicily: a day at the seaside awaits us at one of the local beaches, with golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and absolutely zero worries. Dips, sun, and relaxation are the only priorities, with plenty of time to recharge our batteries and live in the moment.
On the road to Modica
In the afternoon, we head back to Modica, where we'll spend the night. Here, we'll immediately dive into the unique atmosphere of its Baroque historic center, with its scenic staircases, illuminated alleys, and honey-colored buildings. And of course, a sweet stop is a must: Modica is famous for its artisanal chocolate. An evening stroll through soft lights and the scent of sweets will be the perfect way to wrap up the day!

Sweet awakening & route to Syracuse
Chocolate Vibes
The day starts slow in Modica, surrounded by the scent of cocoa and tradition: chocolate is a real institution here, so it’s a must-stop to taste it and discover what makes it so unique.
Nature or Baroque?
Then we're back on the road towards Syracuse, with the chance to choose how to experience the journey: those craving the sea can stop in the wild nature of the Vendicari Reserve, between pristine beaches and crystal-clear water; alternatively, you can get lost among the Baroque wonders of Noto, with its golden palaces and elegant views.
Arriving in Syracuse, we'll get settled and enjoy the evening with our first group vibes and Mediterranean atmosphere.

Siracusa between history and sea
The story
The morning is all about discovering Siracusa: we kick off with a walking tour through history and local vibes, followed by a guided visit to the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where we dive into ancient Greece amongst theatres, quarries, and timeless tales.
Ortigia Vibes
The afternoon is free to enjoy Ortigia at a relaxed pace: with its seaside alleyways, bright piazzas, and perfect spots for an aperitivo or a dip, everyone can experience the city at their own speed.

Catania
Towards Catania: sea or volcano?
We're heading back from Siracusa towards Catania, and here's a tough choice: would you prefer the elegant charm of Taormina, with its breathtaking views and lively streets, or an adventure on Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano?
Two completely different experiences, both incredible—whether you opt for sea and relaxation or lunar landscapes and wild nature, it'll be a day to remember.
Arriving in Catania, we'll get settled and enjoy the evening with some Sicilian energy and good group vibes.

Back to Palermo
Last moments: choose your ending
Last day on the road: we head back from Catania towards Palermo, but the morning is all yours to choose.
You can spend it discovering a bit more of Catania, revisiting one of the experiences from the day before—between Taormina and Etna—or head straight to Palermo and calmly enjoy your last hours in the city.
Whatever you choose, it's the perfect moment to soak up the last glimpses of Sicily and wrap up the trip the right way.
Farewell dinner
Whatever our decision was this morning, we've now arrived in Palermo for our last evening: amidst laughter, toasts, and recently shared memories, it's clear to everyone that this trip won't be easily forgotten. And who knows... maybe before going to sleep, we're already booking the next WeRoad!
