I'm Cadence, a Midwestern girl turned citizen-of-the-world. A speech therapist by trade, I spend my days supporting kids and their families so they can communicate their thoughts, needs, and dreams in whatever way works for them. Through this work, across languages and cultures, I've developed a deep appreciation for learning new languages, especially those spoken in places I travel. Language literally unlocks parts of the world I wouldn't otherwise have access to: people, stories, and little moments of connection that make a place feel more familiar. I love it. Another way I connect with the world is through music. There's something so soothing about picking up a guitar and strumming to myself. Or humming along. Or pulling out the harmonica. Or egg shakers! Banjo is next on the list. And what is music if not a universal language? I may not be able to speak with everyone I meet, but we can certainly bond over a shared beat.
That's pretty much my philosophy on travel, too; experiencing the heartbeat of a destination through the food, music, people, and unexpected conversations along the way. When you travel with me, I hope you'll feel free to show up as you are. Whether you're the first one up for an adventure or the one who needs a little time to settle in, there's room for you here. My goal is to create a group where connection comes naturally, everyone feels included, and we leave with new appreciation. And, of course, there will always be tunes :)
