Hey everyone, I'm Mark! 👋 I'm from Sleepy Hollow, New York (yes, the town with the famous Headless Horseman 🐎). By day, I'm a Director at the iconic Plaza Hotel in NYC, and on the side, I run my own backpacking and travel blog called Generation Nomad. Safe to say, travel is a pretty big part of my life! I've been lucky enough to call New York, South Carolina, Florida, Spain, and Italy home, and somewhere along the way, I developed a serious addiction to exploring new places, meeting new people, and getting a little lost along the way. Picking favorite destinations is nearly impossible, but Japan and Türkiye are definitely at the top of my list! I'm half adrenaline junkie, half history nerd. I love hiking, biking, being outdoors, and pretty much anything that gets the heart racing. I'm also a huge foodie who loves both cooking and eating (I'll try just about anything once). Oh, and I'm really into birdwatching and history... which I realize makes me sound about 30 years older than I actually am. 😂 For me, the best part of traveling isn't just checking places off a bucket list. It's the unexpected adventures, the people you meet, the stories you bring home, and those unforgettable moments that weren't even on the itinerary. I'm always down for a good laugh, a spontaneous adventure, and a beautiful sunset with a cold beer in hand. 🍻🌅
