Hey! It's great to meet you! I am a US Midwesterner originally from Michigan, but about fifteen years ago, I traded the Great Lakes for the Rocky Mountains to attend graduate school in Denver (although I have to admit, I still don't ski). I work as a mental health therapist in private practice, as I have always been drawn to connecting deeply and meaningfully with others. When I'm not sitting with clients, you can often find me reading young adult fiction, writing mediocre poetry, or running laps around the park near my building. Since I love learning and having new experiences, I'm also typically enrolled in some sort of class or new hobby; so far this year I've tried out beekeeping, pottery, pickleball, stand-up comedy, and poetry for foodies! My love for travel began in college when I was studying hospitality and tourism management, and I took my first international trip to Italy to learn about tourism, food, and culture. I've had the bug ever since. I feel most alive when I'm exploring a new place and getting immersed in a new culture, and I'm always looking for unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences when I'm in a new country. I've made some incredible memories so far, and I'm looking forward to making more with new friends at WeRoad. The only part of traveling I dislike is being away from my best friend and soulmate, Lydia (who is a 14-year-old cat), so in order to cope, I can guarantee you'll see a picture or two while we're on our next adventure :)
