The Imperial Cities: Rabat and Meknes
Hiking through the Atlas Mountains
After a breakfast brimming with local flavours, we’ll leave the enchanting atmosphere of Marrakech behind and journey through the majestic Atlas Mountains to reach Rabat, the capital and our first destination.
Imagine yourself immersed in the lively buzz of bustling markets, the air filled with the scent of spices, and surrounded by an explosion of vibrant colours as we dive into the rich culture of this captivating city.
From Rabat to Meknes: magical adventures through Morocco's history, colours, and culture
We make our way to Rabat, the capital of Morocco—yes, it’s not Marrakech as many might assume! Situated along the Atlantic coast, Rabat greets us with its colonial streets, cafés, and shopping centres. But don't be deceived: history and culture are alive in every corner of this fascinating city.
We'll lose ourselves in the medina, surrounded by Moorish and Andalusian architecture that speaks of centuries-old traditions. Of course, we won’t miss the city’s iconic sights: the Kasbah des Oudayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
Next, we head to Meknes, an imperial city and UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, we’ll explore grand gates, historic squares, and charming hidden corners. But the day doesn’t end there—we’ll spend the night in Meknes, so we can soak in the city’s magic at both sunset and sunrise, breathing in the allure of its winding alleys.

Heading to Volubilis and Chefchaouen: an enchanting journey!
From ancient Roman ruins to the blue city
After breakfast, we set off for Volubilis, where an extraordinary sight awaits: evocative Roman ruins that will transport us back in time, offering a glimpse into ancient history.
As we continue our journey through breathtaking landscapes, we arrive at Chefchaouen, the "blue pearl of Morocco." Founded in the 15th century by Jewish and Muslim refugees, this charming town is a painter's dream, with its vibrant blue buildings and narrow alleys. Here, we'll lose ourselves in picturesque streets and hidden corners, surrounded by lively colours and a laid-back atmosphere that turns every view into a masterpiece.
Nestled in the heart of the Rif Mountains, we’ll explore this one-of-a-kind city, an experience that will captivate both our eyes and our souls. Chefchaouen is the perfect place to end the day, leaving us with lasting memories of a journey through Morocco's history, colour, and sheer beauty.

Fes el-Bali: an authentic dive into the heart of the old city
From magical colours to the imperial charm of Morocco
After a magical night in the blue city, we set off for Fes, Morocco's cultural capital. Its ancient walls conceal a labyrinth of alleys, steeped in history, tradition, and the heartbeat of authentic life.
We’ll get lost in the medina, guided by our local expert, wandering through artisan workshops, vibrant bazaars, and tailors' shops, all while soaking in the unique scents, sounds, and colours of this historic city. We’ll cross Bab Boujloud, visit the famous Chouara Tannery—yes, it has a distinctive smell, but the view of the multicoloured rooftops is absolutely spectacular—and marvel at the impressive Kairouine Mosque and the magnificent Bou Inania Madrasa. Then, we'll head to the cooperative of master ceramicist in Fes, where we'll learn about the creation of Fes's iconic blue and white ceramics. In addition we will learn about traditional wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques that have defined Moroccan ceramics for centuries.
Next, we’ll step back in time at the Foundouk Nejjarine, a museum dedicated to the art of woodwork, before granting ourselves some free time to explore Fes at our own pace.
An intense and unforgettable day awaits, filled with history, vibrant colours, and unforgettable atmospheres, right at the heart of Morocco.

The magic of the Merzouga desert!
The beauty of nature: Ifrane, Midelt and the Ziz Valley
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind sensory adventure in the heart of the desert! From Fes, we’ll hit the road towards Merzouga, with the playlist ready because it’s going to be a long journey—but then again, the best experiences are never without a little effort!
Along the way, we’ll pass through the enchanting Ifrane cedar forest and make a stop for lunch in Midelt, famously known as the city of apples. Here, we’ll have the chance to soak up the local life and immerse ourselves in its vibrant colours and atmosphere.
Sunset among the desert dunes and night in the tented camp
Finally, Merzouga welcomes us with its golden dunes, the Erg Chebbi. We feel the warm sand under our feet as the sun sets, painting the sky with a thousand shades. After an exciting sunset on camelback, we head to our camp, right in the heart of the desert.
Camped among the dunes, we're greeted with a warm, fragrant mint tea; the aroma of spices mixes with the scent of burning wood, creating what they call the “magic of the desert”. The night transforms into a magical experience under a dreamy starry sky, filled with Berber dances, music, and the rhythm of drums, crafting a unique and evocative atmosphere.
