Algeria is the largest country in Africa, yet almost nobody goes there, and that's precisely the point. To the south, the Algerian Sahara is probably the most spectacular on the continent: Erg Chebbi dunes that change color at dawn, the Tassili n'Ajjer plateau, and silences you won't find anywhere else. To the north, white cities like Algiers clinging to the sea, Roman remains, and a culture that uniquely blends Berber, Arab, and Mediterranean influences.
