Which part of Tenerife should you choose?
Mount Teide and the National Park
The volcanic heart of the island, perfect for a hiking trip across lunar landscapes. Teide towers over craters and lava flows, and its UNESCO-listed park is one of the best places in Europe for stargazing.
You can climb on foot or by cable car, and the summit needs a free permit booked in advance.
The South: Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos
The sunniest, warmest part of the island, ideal for a sea and water sports trip. Golden beaches, snorkeling, and boat trips to spot dolphins and pilot whales, with bars open late once the sun goes down.
The North: Puerto de la Cruz and La Laguna
Greener and more authentic: black sand beaches, natural pools, and historic villages. A great pick for a trip that mixes nature and local life, with a stop in La Laguna, a UNESCO colonial city, and the seaside pools of Puerto de la Cruz.
Anaga and Masca: laurel forest trails
In Anaga Rural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, trails run through ancient laurel forests and ridges above the ocean. In Teno, the Masca gorge drops to the sea between rock walls: ideal for a hiking and wild nature trip.
Los Gigantes and the west coast
On the west coast, the Los Gigantes cliffs plunge hundreds of meters into the Atlantic. The best way to take them in is from the water, by boat or catamaran—complete with snorkeling in clear water and a sunset that’s worth the trip all on its own.

When to visit Tenerife
Like almost all the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a great spot to visit year-round: winters are mild, around 20-22°C (68-72°F) on the coast, and the south stays sunny almost every day.
November to March is the perfect window if you want to escape the European cold. In summer, it hits 28-30°C (82-86°F), but the trade winds cool down the coast.
For hiking on Teide, spring and fall are the most comfortable times. In February, Santa Cruz hosts one of the most famous carnivals in the world.
What to see in Tenerife
In Tenerife the landscape changes every few kilometers: Teide dominates the center with craters and lava flows that look like another planet, while the north holds laurel forests and the UNESCO city of La Laguna.
In Anaga Rural Park trails disappear into mist and ancient woods, and on the west coast the Los Gigantes cliffs face a deep blue sea.
Add black and golden beaches, natural pools, white villages and the ocean, always the star.

Everything you need to know about WeRoad trips
How does WeRoad work?
Choose your trip based on departure dates, destinations, and travel mood, and... book it! Once you get the email confirming your trip, book your round-trip flights to and from the destination – nope, they're not included in the package, we like flexibility! 15 days before departure, the Group Leader will create a WhatsApp group so you can start getting to know your future travel buddies. You're all set: enjoy your WeRoad trip! You'll share incredible experiences, discover local culture, and live every minute to the fullest – you'll probably shed a tear or two when it's time to say goodbye, but that's totally normal! (To learn more about how it works, read here!)
Are there any age limits?
Yep, we have age limits. We organize groups split into different age groups. It won't be hard to find the perfect WeRoad for you!
Is the flight included?
Flights aren't included—we love flexibility! This way, you've got total freedom to choose your departure airport, which airline to fly, how many stops to make, and, if you want, to tack on a few extra days at your destination. Obviously, we can help you choose them (click here for flight purchase support) and what’s more, we’ve got plenty of discounts you can use with some of the major airlines.

Tenerife is the biggest of the seven Canary Islands, sitting right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, about 300 kilometers (185 miles) off the African coast. It’s part of Spain. If you're flying from the US, you'll usually connect through a European hub like Madrid or Lisbon—definitely check with the airlines for the latest routes.
